Snake Summoning is the unique aspect and technique which can be used by certain ninjas. Following the basic summoning process, one must use his own blood and create the formula, from which the snake will be summoned. Now, snakes are a very versatile summoning. They can vary in size, from too colossal, to too small to the naked eye. The characteristic of snakes is their binding abilities to kill their prey. So to say, by user's will, the snake will obey their orders and assault the target with any slashing movements, zig zag shiftings and unpredictable body motions. Pretty much all snakes are poisonous, which can be little to very lethal.
Now, the Snake Ninjutsu field comes after one has mastered the snake summonings. As the name suggests, you can perform ninjutsu that involve snakes. It can be anything, as long as snakes are relevant to it.

The Snake summoning is a summoning accessible by those who have successfully signed the Snake contract, one must used their blood in order to sign the contract as to achieve a connection with the said summoning, once done the summoner may use his blood in order to call forth the Snakes in times of need.
Snakes themselves are incredibly dangerous, they have various strengths which differ a lot but each one is just as deadly as the next, a large snake can completely crush its prey destroying all bones within their body, others may inject a venom so deadly that it could be over in mere seconds.
This is merely two examples, the movements of the Snakes are fast and flexible, this makes predicting there movements difficult. Truly a deadly summoning.

Now I pretty much like the snakes although I think some of the summonings are rather blunt and boring. One of the most interesting traits when it comes to snakes are their enhanced senses. One thing that I find very intriguing one could say when it comes to snakes is actually that they are able to collect small participles from the air and in that way sense what's going on around them. Being capable of noticing changes. Now as you mentioned yourself, size varies among the summoning, from few centimeters to ''few'' meters. One of their better traits is their flexible body which allows them to easily move throughout the battlefield. However, unlike toads snakes are incapable of actually using our language but via mental connection we can regulate them or, well their movement. You are also correct when it comes to snake ninjutsu, basically usually techniques when it comes to snake ninjutsu are connected to ''hidden'' summoning of snakes from either your sleeves or mouth however there are some techniques that allow one to change properties of their hand into a snake, albeit we will go over it once it is time for it.
Before I can even continue however with actual snake summoning and how to do such, you two will need to sign the snake contract.

Listening to the instructions of the sensei he watches as the scroll is unravelled revealing the names of many, biting deep into the thumb of his left hand he signs the contract.

I am proud of my new snake tattoo, and i decide to shove it right under people's necks when the time comes, but before, i need to summon a sneaky snake! So taking blood from the cut part again, I formulate the formula and summon a brown snake, with its mouth open lurking for chance to bit you.

After finally gaining the tattoo on the left arm using the blood of his previous cut he wipes it down the tattoo, after which he slams his left hand onto the ground "Kuchiyose no jutsu", channelling his chakra through it which forms a summoning circle which spreads outwards around Kirikoes palm. A plume of smoke violently explodes only to reveal a small and rather unimpressive snake sat upon the ground hissing in place quite unthreatenning.
Kirikoe and the snake would simply look at each other for a few seconds staring each other down before finally turning to his snake sensei and pointing to it saying "I summoned one .-."

''What the **** is that Kiko?'' with almost bitter look to her face Akasha probed. However a tad of amusement was present. Shifting her vision towards Feitan she wasn't quite certain what to say. ''Uhm, right.'' she sardonically grinned. Raising her right eyebrow slightly whilst giving almost a steamy sideways-looking up smile she continued speaking in a rather modulated voice. ''This time, try and apply more chakra to your summoning ritual.''

Looking back at the small hissing unthreatening snake his gaze returns to his snake sensei.. "I have no idea Sensei :|.. A Snake? Imma call it Ekans .-."
After listening to Akasha's instructions further he once again performs the summoning jutsu, wiping blood across his tattoo and putting pressure on the ground he channels more chakra than before into the technique, a new summoning circle is created and once again a boom of smoke is followed, the smoke soon clears revealing a new snake, a bigger snake, a more impressive snake..

The smoke circled the summoning ever so slightly before dispersing, this one was much bigger and much stronger and fearsome looking, Kirikoe's gaze returns to Akasha.. "How is this one?"
Feitan focused a larger portion of chakra than before. Drawing blood yet once again, spreading it across his tattoo and slamming his hand against the ground. Doing so, by the chakra put, a complex formula circled around, seemingly bigger.A poof of smoke covered the entire training field, only to clear itself and reveal a dark, purple ish snake. Easily eye catching, the snake seemed more mature than the former one was, with its eyes fixated on Akasha's throat, almost ready to take her life away.
With a fake smile appearing on his face, Feitan punched the snake.

''Ok, that's a little bit better than before'' Akasha spoke as she proudly watched two new snakes summoned onto their training field. They were bulkier than last ones and seemed more deadlier. They must be ready to start summoning the real deal she thought to herself as she told them to now focus even more chakra within their summoning rituals. ''Next time around, I will need for you to focus even more chakra when it comes to your summoning ritual. One of you try and summon a two-headed snake and the other three-headed one!''

Listening to the instructors instructions. Kirikoe wipes blood over the tattoo once more and places his hand onto the ground, this time however he fuelled the technique with even more chakra, with another puff of smoke out emerge a massive 3 headed figure, each head as sinister as the next, its eyes sharp enough to strike fear into young shinobi, Kirikoe stood and stared at it, the 3 headed snake did the same, both stared each other down and soon enough Kirikoe's will had won, the 3 headed snake became passive.

Hashirama listened to Akasha's talkings as he drawed blood from a minor cut and wiped it over his tattoo. This time he'd add more chakra than the former tries, thus resulting in a three headed snake, with a fearsome look in his eyes, as if its entire existence was to cause your legs shake.
