threadStanding on quite shallow water, Mystogan could clearly see the ever-growing tentacles as they neared him, having to be closer to the surface as they got close to him. Being able to clearly see the incoming attack, Mystogan tossed his katana lightly up into the air and formed a handseal, reaching up to grab the hilt of his sword and pull it down so as to cut his own mask off his face. As his mask fell, Mystogan exhaled a powerful wall of flame which was sent forwards, evaporating a part of the lake so that the shallow water he stood on receded and he stood on earth, as well as drying the water around the tentacles of Kakuzu's technique and the tentacles themselves, turning them to rock and robbing them of their malleability, rendering the attack null. The flames, concentrated at a certain spot so that they would not reach Kakuzu entirely, but instead evaporate the water in and around the mud technique, then began to disappear, leaving behind a wall of steam. (Even if your technique is empowered, at least half of it's power is being used to form your fortress.)
Rank: S
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 40
Damage Points: 80
Description: The user does one handseal and inhales while molding a great amount of chakra into their lungs and expelling a large stream of flames from their mouth. The user has control over the concentration of the technique, being able to produce a narrow jet of flames, highly concentrated or one that will widen along its range. The flames are hot enough to quickly evaporate large quantities of water within a relatively short amount of time.
With the flames just starting to fade away, and the steam rising, Mystogan formed several portals over the entirety of the lake's previous area, about ten meters from the ground, which then began to rain Keigoku over the field. Passing through the portion of the lake left over from Mystogan's flames (let's say the water level went down about three meters, unless you think it's unrealistic), Mystogan's Keigoku sat at the bottom of the lake, unable to pass through the ground beneath. However, with Mystogan's finely attuned mastery of Keigoku, and the purity with which he can call it forth, the mind-destroying droplets were able to pass through the roof of Kakuzu's fortress and affect his mind on contact, creating severe mental pain on impact.
Being finely attuned to thick mists, being able to navigate easily, the sounds of flying weapons coming towards Mystogan were not lost. Shadows cast upon the steam by the kunai as they flew were also easy enough for the Mizukage to see, allowing him to swing his katana at the center kunai, knocking it to his left before swinging his sword to the right to take out the final weapon, allowing the center kunai to knock the left one out of the air. With the weapons disabled and his Keigoku rain falling, Mystogan waited for the steam to become less dense so that he could see Kakuzu's state of being and move from there.
Rank: A
Type: Offensive/Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: 30 ( +5 per turn )
Damage: 60
Description: The Nekura clansman opens multiple portals in the sky, each one a few meters wide, causing small drops of Keigoku to fall from the portals like rain, in a shower of individual drops. Any non-Nekura caught in this rain will experience sudden sharp mental pain as the drops touch him. Due to the repeated falling of the Keigoku raindrops, they will not be able to focus enough to use techniques that require intense concentration ( Genjutsu, Fuuinjutsu, Medjutsu, etc. ) and cannot string together more than four handseals without pause. This technique can be used twice per battle; each use lasts for two turns, and there needs to be two turns gap between each use.
By sheltering under a suitable defense, the effects of this technique can be avoided.
The effects also apply to non-Nekura allies, and so this technique is not useful in combo battles or wars.
