Lightning Release or Raiton, is an element used for jutsu, which shinobi use to defeat their foes. Pure lightning comes from thunderclouds, while chakra lightning comes from a shinobi's body itself. Lightning is strong against earth, but weak against wind. Lightning also has a relationship with water in that water conducts electricity and thus can be made into a combination jutsu.

Lightning techniques happen rather quickly unlike many other jutsu, but the thing about em is, Lightning can also be used to increase your own power. By controlling the electrical pulses in the body you can essentially, make yourself stronger/faster/smarter...etc. by allowing your lightning to control the neural synapses. (communications between brain and muscles.) with virtually no ill effects.
Today we will begin by drawing out that chakra....
take this pebble in your hand....I want you to imagine what lightning feels like, static electricity, the shocking....
*Scared* will i shock myself?!
*imagines big lightning storms with big flashes, it feels like it wants to erupt like theres nothing that can stop it...omg!*
