ok, first explain to me what Genjutsu is and how ninja's use it.

Genjutsu is an Illusionary technique that manipulates the flow of chakra in the opponents brain, which causes a disruption in their senses. Its used to create false images or to cause pain from trauma because the body believes it is in pain.
However, there are plenty of other uses depending on the situation. They are not used as often as ninjutsu because they don't physically harm the opponent

This jutsu was used by Orochimaru in the forest of the Naruto series. The people affected were Naruto, sakura, and Sasuke. They escaped because after awhile of running, the realised the were going in circles.

This Genjutsu was used by Yuuhi Kurenai. If Kurenai comes under attack, she can use this technique to cover her escape.

Kagari used this jutsu against Naruto because when the servants are attacked they merely disrupt the servants illusion body but not destroy it. The jutsu was dispelled by finding the one who cast it.

*While the enemy is rushing to attack me, i disappear in a whirlwind of sakura petals and hide in the nearby trees. The opponent then gets trapped in my second Genjutsu and runs around in circles as he tries to find me. He is then attacked by a barrage of sevants who throw kunai and shuriken when it's really me throwing them to match the movements of the servants*
