So does this mean

Kinshiki is one of the fastest characters in NV?

I think you're talking about kinshiki. Base momo is still fast, He blitz base naruto.

Since he was matching Sasuke, and since he was capable of almost ending his life before he used the S/T, he's clearly one of the fastest characters in the Manga.

You also have to add the fact that he can mix his flight speed with his running speed and shunshin so yeah it's hard to tell what he's doing sometimes.

Sasuke didn't have to resort to using Ameno. Sasuke seen the attack coming, so instead of blocking or dodging it, he use Ameno.. That way he would continuously be on defense and could have time to escape..

Yes, Momoshiki is quite fast, and he CAN blitz Naruto (Base). But he didn't technically blitz Base Naruto since the attack was a surprise attack.

Technically, it isn't speed. It's space-time ninjutsu. But since it can serve the same functionality of speed, was can put it in the same terms as speed. An S/T user is included among the fastest characters though, just for this reason. But keep in mind that speed is different.
