My GOD. Anyone listen to this:
IMO: King kendrick lamar just showed rappers how to rap. He just destroyed 2015 with a single song.

What do you guys think about it?

I wouldn't go out and say he killed 2015 already.

But Kendrick season taking over.

His last bars too strong:

"So why did I weep when Trayvon Martin was in the street?
When gang banging make me kill a ***** blacker than me?
Hypocrite!"

I dont think anyone in 2015 will release anything as good as this. Honestly, who will beat this track Drake? hell no. No one. Maybe J cole could. May be Nas. Maybe Jay z will. Maybe Em will. That its. I dont think anyone in the rap game has the ability to beat this rap. This single song; and 2015 barely started, and Kendrick already raised the bar sooo ****ing high. Its on a level that only, legends can compare/beat, or J cole, Jay electrionica, Jay rock[but these guys are with little hope to beating it, maybe if they got lucky]. I honestly dont care about who gets played on the radio more or who makes the most money; this song has flow, meaning, poetry, and a beat.

Last year, most songs that were released by people in the rap game were meaningless. Most of them had almost no meaning. Honestly who listens to wiz khalifa or asap rocky and his trash can friends. How did these guys even get a nominee? Makes no sense. I doubt grammy will even consider a song like this; because its real talent.

A lot of people will misconstrue it as the typical argument that why should black people get mad when a white person kills a black person when black people kill each other as well and no one cares.

Now, I myself would normally disagree with this outlook because it would show that the person that said it doesn't really understand why a white person killing a black person carries outrage as opposed to black on black crime. However, it's clear to me that Kendrick understands the difference and isn't talking the same thing. His earlier comments were "I wish somebody would look in our neighborhood knowing that it's already a situation, mentally, where it's f---ed up. What happened to [Michael Brown] should've never happened. Never. But when we don't have respect for ourselves, how do we expect them to respect us? It starts from within. Don't start with just a rally, don't start from looting -- it starts from within." To me, if you add that together, Kendrick is saying that yes, the white on black crime fueled by racism is important to address, but we mustn't let that forget about those that also die from black on black crime. We shouldn't turn a blind eye to murder just because it wasn't racially charged. In short, if black lives matter, then all black lives should matter, not just the ones killed by racists and/or white people.

You're probably right. But i'm not gonna straight up say Kendrick killed the 2015 with one song. If anything, this is the calm before the storm.

I'm ready for Cozz to hurry up and get noticed.

Eh, Riker beat me to the punch. But to add:

I also feel that it's bad timing due to what's currently going on. It seems to me that he's saying what they're doing is wrong and that they should "look inside" to fix the real problem. There has never been a peaceful revolution in human history. In order to get things done, violence will erupt. It's just human nature. Not only that, but people are more likely to commit crimes against their own race. So, the "black-on-black" crime thing is redundant.
