Yea but its still not very predictable given the nature of the attack + its speed as its literally meant to compensate for weaknesses in Taijutsu and Neji can aim for a head-shot , Kimi can Block but him deducing the exact area Neji targets isn't making sense to me when Neji can aim at any given spot with precision meanwhile Kimi would still be on his backwards momentum from the first so he wouldn't be capable of defending himself so smoothly.
If he knows it's coming and can easily guess where it's going to hit then yes, it's predictable. All he needs to do is react to Neji's thrust, put up a guard and then he'll be good. It's a palm sized thrust and he'll be either aiming for his head or his torso. But it's not like any of this matters because a direct hit won't do anything to Kimi.

I basically saw it as Naruto getting his Chakra arms blasted through by Kaguya's to which he got sent flying after his Arms failed , but ur right about it being due to Attack power as 80 Gods works by blunt force damage , without directly trying to invade like Air-palm or her Hair needles which works by literally targeting Vitals unlike 80 Gods which is basically a Fist.
Yeah, that's wrong though. While she did blast through his chakra arms, he wasn't sent flying because of that. He was sent flying by the fist itself.

But in comparison we never really had time for Kisame to establish as much expression as Kidomaro and both expressions showed only shock after getting hit not to mention Kisame wasn't shown directly after getting hit and when he was it was only due to having to deal with Tentens incoming attack.
Come on man. You can't seriously be trying to argue this. 2 panels that close in on Kisame's face and he shows no damage in either one. If he was damaged he would've shown it on impact just like Kidomaru did.

-The only way for us to have confirmed Damage from Air-palm would be if Kisame either made note which he couldn't do due to the situation he was in , or if we saw him spitting blood after emerging from the water , but he'd logically already have healed himself while underwater anyway so Kisame wouldn't have shown signs of Damage after the Combo and he couldn't show damage at the exact moment he was hit.
Kisame had ample time to show damage.

If he was damaged you would see it in that panel instead of what you saw. Kisame was shown twice before going underwater and showed no signs of damage beforehand so you are wrong and it's really that simple. No reason for me to have to type walls on why your point is a reach to the heavens.

And you can't even show where he healed himself. So how are you even arguing this point again? :lol Come on.

-But yea i dont like to stray away from the Mnga or logic which is why im conflicted here since Air palm was only shown on a human in that instance and was only noted by vague description once in the DB but Byakugan pinpointing vitals and attacking them heavily implies that Air-palm does more than simply blow the targets off their feet as doing so would require no need for such precision.
Except no Manga or Databook explicitly stated that Air Palm deals internal damage. That's how you interpreted it. The Manga has blatantly disproven that interpretation. In reality all the databook is stating is that it uses compressed air to pinpoint and attack vital spots. That's a physical attack, except from long range. Literally nothing more to it.

-Kishi says that the Compressed vacuum shell with "Aspects" of Gentle Fist is thrusts through the enemies targeted vital with tremendous force , so we have to define wat exactly Kishi meant when he says "Aspects".
No, we don't have to define anything here. The point of the argument is to show whether or not Air Palm does internal damage. It doesn't as the Manga shows so the argument is pretty much over. Whatever aspects he's referring to obviously aren't what you think they are, which is why Kisame took no damage. Which is why a tech that works pretty much the same also did no damage to Naruto.

-If we took the word aspects as "ingredient" it would mean that Jyuken Chkar is indeed compressed into the vacuum shell since it was noted that the Air is compressed along with aspects of Jyuken which could mean Jyuken Chakra is a ingredient mixed inside the compressed vacuum , or we could use the word aspect as features which could mean that Jyuken Chakra is used to solely compress the Air but that doesn't add up since it was heavily implied by the DB that Air is compressed with The Jyuken Chakra already in it before its fired which would make Gentle fist a ingredient meaning thats wat kishi meant when he said "Aspects" of Jyuken along with compressed Vacuum shell is shot simultaneously through the Vital..
Why would we take the word "aspects" as "ingredient" in the first place? Anyway, I've addressed all of this.

This is why im asking for ur opinion on wat specific features they share together , ntn about manga just give me ur raw opinion..
My Opinion: Nowhere does the databook state that it's basically a ranged gentle fist and the Manga confirms that sentiment. The only feature that air palm and the gentle fist fighting style share in common is that they both target the users vital points. Manga confirms this because Kisame can take it and receive zero damage. Naruto can take an attack that works the same and receive zero damage. There's absolutely no evidence supporting the contrary.

How does he easily guess where its going to hit when Neji can easily aim at any vital along with even aiming at the legs to flip him since he cant dodge?

If Kimi Guards as he did here , a Third Air-palm can be used to snipe his head.

If Air-palm does in fact do zero damage and simply targets vitals without being to damage or affect them any way at all then Kimi survives then activates CM1 and his KKG to sprout bones from everywhere which is a great counter against Taijutsu.

Yeah, that's wrong though. While she did blast through his chakra arms, he wasn't sent flying because of that. He was sent flying by the fist itself.

Agreed and yes the mechanics for 80 Gods are much different seeing as its focused at a Blunt force attack rather than a surgical one like Air-palm so it makes sense that it wouldn't damage Naruto internally.

But where exactly did Kido show damage on impact?? we know he was damaged but in Kisam's case we only had 1 panel of his face after he was hit and that panel was shown to illustrate him seeing Tenten's attack.

Kisame had ample time to show damage.

That particular panel was him seeing Tenten's attack , watever expression he had in all the other panels before where he got struct with Air-palm would've been changed to the one u highlighted.

-Kido got hit and we kno he was damaged but didn't show physical signs of this apart from him getting struck and falling over , Kisame was hit and his face or expression wasn't shown until he saw a new attack incoming towards him. Only way for us to have seen damage was if there was blood , a quote or if Kisame had a particular facial expression , seeing that he had time to grab his sword then use it to slow his backwards momentum without his face being shown along with considering that the follow-up panel highlighted where his face was shown was him seeing Tentens attack is the reason im discussing this.

And you can't even show where he healed himself. So how are you even arguing this point again? :lol Come on.

LOL due to trying to understand how Air-palm works and how it does damage , he had ample time to do this after getting his sword and going underwater.

-But yea im going to drop this since Kishi chose to not have Neji make any sort of note to Kisame not taking damage in manga but desprition of the tech implies that it does.

Im just trying to understand why Vital organs would need to be pinpointed via Byakugan if it cant do anything to them when hits:eek:w: , using compressed Air to pinpoint and "Attack" Vitals yet doesn't do a single thing to these vitals at all doesn't that sound funny to u? By description a Air palm aimed at the Brain/Heart should be do more than simply blast the target away which can be done Without going through the trouble of Targeting the Brain/heart with precision as Vitals are ppecifically targeted to cause more damage that other areas but Air palm being a tech that causes no damage just makes it all kinda redundant.

Why would we take the word "aspects" as "ingredient" in the first place? Anyway, I've addressed all of this.

Because the way it was worded in the Databook gives that implication , "The compressed Vacuum shell With aspects of Jyuken , thrusts through the enemies pinpointed Vital spot" with tremendous force.

That can be taken as Kishi meaning that the Jyuken Chakra is a component within the already compressed "Vacuum Shell" which would make it a ingredient within that Vacuum Shell , since he said the Compressed Shell With Aspects of Gentle fist is thrust through the enemies Vitals.

-Or the word Aspects can be meant as Features which implies the compressed Vacuum shell simply has characteristics of Gentle fist which would include attacking vitals , but at the same time it would need to have more than one feature since he said 'Aspects" which hints to it having more effects attributed to Jyuken..

-Sadly we only saw this tech used one time on a human and DB leaves a hole in reasoning when reading the notes since Pinpointing vitals that u cant affect at all would make the tech redundant as it doesn't matter wat Vitals get hit it will never stem a different outcome no matter the precision but yea i'll drop this since there is probably more to it that we dont understand.

This is exactly the point I was trying to make but less detailed. If Air Palm was just a regular pressurized blast than the Databook wouldn't state that it needs to be used in conjunction with Byakugan to "target vital spots". If it just pushed the opponent back with tremendous force than it wouldn't make sense for the Byakugan having to be activated to use it right? But hey, let him hang on to the "Kisame didn't show that he was damaged so it doesn't hit vital organs" argument. We all know what the Databook and manga implies. The whole "they use gentle fist chakra to compress the air" sounds ridiculous. Their is no such thing as "Jyuken/Gentle Fist Chakra". Jyuken is a fighting style used by the hyuga to attack vital organs while also shutting down the chakra network. They use their precise chakra control to make it into thin needles In their hands to make it flow through the opponents body. No such thing as special Hyuga chakra, and the manga certainly doesn't support that claim either. So not sure how he even thought that up in the first place.

It's a palm sized thrust. It moves in a straight line. :lol But I'm not arguing this anymore since a direct hit won't do a thing to him.

:lol You can't be serious. In real life and in fiction damage is done by hitting the vital points in the body without the need for some magical ability to deal internal damage, so that is what Air Palm would do. Neji's air palm simply isn't strong enough to deal any notable damage to Kimimaro considering he can't even injure a clone of Kisame.

What hurts more? A punch to a vital or non vital spot of the body? This is honestly a no-brainer. Don't act like there is some discrepancy in the DB. In reality you just aren't satisfied with the given explanation of the jutsu so you are trying to push something not supported by the MAnga.

Agreed and yes the mechanics for 80 Gods are much different seeing as its focused at a Blunt force attack rather than a surgical one like Air-palm so it makes sense that it wouldn't damage Naruto internally.
Why would it being blunt force mean anything here? Both techs work the same aside from that part yet 80 Gods doesn't destroy chakra. It doesn't need to be a pinpoint attack to destroy chakra like Jyuuken would.

Air Palm was never even stated to be a surgical type attack. It's blunt force. It's compressed air. The only difference between it and 80 Gods is that 80 Gods is far stronger and it's a fist while Vacuum Palm is a palm.

But where exactly did Kido show damage on impact?? we know he was damaged but in Kisam's case we only had 1 panel of his face after he was hit and that panel was shown to illustrate him seeing Tenten's attack.
Are you joking? He was hit and then you see the vibrations around his body drawn on the panel, you see his eyes widen and then he falls over. That was when and seconds after he got hit. Kisame showed no such thing when and after he got hit, and the rest is you repeating the same nonsense argument I keep telling you not to use. That panel was used to illustrate him seeing Tenten's attack because there is no need to illustrate damage that didn't happen. If he was damaged you would've seen it in that panel, or the panel after that, or the panels after that. Yet you see nothing.

-Kido got hit and we kno he was damaged but didn't show physical signs of this apart from him getting struck and falling over , Kisame was hit and his face or expression wasn't shown until he saw a new attack incoming towards him. That is a physical sign of damage. That and his expression so I have no idea what point you think you have here. A new attack coming doesn't mean that Kisame won't show signs of damage. What type of sense does that make? None.

LOL due to trying to understand how Air-palm works and how it does damage , he had ample time to do this after getting his sword and going underwater.

You keep saying this yet you can't actually support the assertion that he healed himself.

-But yea im going to drop this since Kishi chose to not have Neji make any sort of note to Kisame not taking damage in manga but desprition of the tech implies that it does.
No, it doesn't imply that. Not at all.

Addressed. Nothing sounds funny here. Vital spots are targeted all the time without people needing to deal internal damage.

Because the way it was worded in the Databook gives that implication , "The compressed Vacuum shell With aspects of Jyuken , thrusts through the enemies pinpointed Vital spot" with tremendous force.

The Gentle Fist fighting style works by targeting the opponent's vitals. That's what Air Palm does, but with compressed air. That is what the DB is stating. That's what the Manga shows. There is no hole in the reasoning here you are just trying to create one to make it seem like there is a possibility that air palm can do internal damage even though the Manga has clearly shown otherwise. Not even sure how this argument got this far in the first place because any reasonable person would've seen the scan of Kisame being undamaged and would've agreed that internal damage isn't a factor when it comes to air palm.

Neji can defeat Kimmimaro here.

- Kimmimaro can't hit him. Part 1 Lee dodging what's portrayed to be his fastest attack as hinted by the DB and what we've seen, Dance of Camelia Young Neji showing amazing reflexes despite being stabbed let alone a part 2 Neji, who we know is on a different level.

- The only way I see Kimmi actually winning is if he pulls out Sawarabi no mai which requires his CM2 state in order to be used properly. While he becomes durable on all that in this state, he becomes slower than his previous states as stated by Lee , which for a fact won't be helpful when battling someone like this without his top speed..Not to mention the distance doesn't even suggest this technique would be possible.

- Air palm falls under Gentle fist and the DB for this Jutsu states with the arrows, "with his Byakugan, Neji detects his enemy's vital spot with precision" This statement won't be made if it was just to push the enemy back because there's obviously a reason for the eyes being used to detect the vital point. We know the effect of the Hyuuga's Taijutsu which this Jutsu falls under(DB states it's Taijutsu). Gentle fist. Not to mention, like the DB states the use of the Bykugan is important for this, we know the Byukugan won't be used to detect the vital if Gentle fist isn't being used on it bottom left leading to this scan . One won't be detecting the vitals if they aren't attacking it. As for the Kisame point, he held Samehada right after the hit and we know what Samehada does to it wielder. Heals him.

-Kimi's KKG is Ninjutsu, his ability to manipulate the bones and release them for his body, Shikotsumyaku makes use of Ninjutsu to create and release the bones from his body, which in turn requires the use of Chakra. This he'll be ding in order to avoid Gentle fist as the battle all through. He can't hit Neji but Neji can sure attack him with Gentle fist which is strictly Taijutsu and easily dodge his hits and attacks.

Not to mention the intel is none. While Neji's Byakugan can help him easily discover the mechanics behind Kimmi's attacks as he can see him inside out, Kimm has zero intel and would struggle. No intel on rotation, no intel one Gentle fist to know the bones would be an effective counter, no intel on Neji's taijutsu especially from 10M.

Heals with the chakra it absorbs, it had absorbed 0 chakra up until that point.

Air-palm is a shitty attack.

Lmao. I just spent like 4 posts explaining why Air Palm does not do internal damage and why saying Kisame healed is based on nothing at all.

As if Samehada doesn't consume Kisame's chakra too. Why was it attached to B? He had more. Oh and isn't this Samehada giving B Kisame's chakra it consumed? Why did it have the users chakra? It uses chakra to heal and it contains Kisame's chakra. I don't know what would stop it from using the wielders chakra. Nothing.

Lol didn't bother to read that..gave my point from the first page. It can be argued that Kisame was healed seeing how Samehada works. Can't be ruled out.

No, it obviously can be ruled out because you guys literally pulled that assertion out of thin air. Meanwhile:

-Kisame shows no signs of being damaged.
-Kisame shows no signs that he healed himself from the damage he never took in the first place.
-Neji makes no comments that'd hint that Kisame was damaged.

Yes, you have more of a point in the sense that much wasn't shown in detail but he literally held Samehada which can be used to heal him. Why would this be ruled out when it in fact does heal him? It obviously can't even though one might tend to side with you here.

- We didn't even see that Kisame clone well till Ten Ten hit him. It could be an internal attack that wasn't too significant if that's the case.

- As soon as he was blasted, the next thing we saw was him holding his sword right away for 2 panels before we saw anything else. We never got a chance to see if he was damaged or not. All we literally see is this guy holding his sword

- Neji didn't even get the chance considering before we even saw Kisame as a whole, Ten Ten had attacked him in the next panel. Straight after.

On the other hand, Kishi's DB3 coming after these panels. It states this and what you're trying to say is this isn't true? Because that's what you're basically saying despite us shown that the Byakugan is used to pinpoint to vital with precision for this Jutsu. Why shouldn't I believe that? There's no reason to. Besides, weren't those corpses/sacrfices used by Pain? How then would the effect of gentle fist come into play in this case? How would it be effective against Dead bodies given chakra? If they were from what I recall.

- As soon as he was blasted, the next thing we saw is him holding his sword right away for 2 panels before we saw anything else. We never got a chance to see if he was damaged or not. All we literal see is this gu

How then would the effect if gentle fist come into play in this case? How would it be effective against Dead bodies given chakra? If they were from what I recall.
It's ruled out because there is literally nothing supporting he actually healed himself. It's really that simple.

And like I told neosmith, as soon as Kisame was hit he would've shown a sign of damage. But he didn't. If not there then he would've shown it in the panel where they clearly show his expression BEFORE Tenten even hit him. But he didn't. If not there then he would've shown damage when he was blocking Tenten's attack, but again, he didn't. If not there then he would've shown it after he emerged from underwater. There were 3 chances for Kishimoto to illustrate some form of damage yet he didn't, meaning that there was no damage. "He was busy showing off the team" is a weak excuses and I hope you don't advocate for that point. His facial expression was shown 3 times

And this argument doesn't even make sense to begin with. If Kisame was damaged then Kishimoto would've gone out of his way to actually show that he was damaged like he's done for literally every single person who's ever received some type of injury in his Manga during a fight. So "he didn't have a chance to show his injury" is a weak argument. It makes no sense to try and argue that Kishimoto decided not to illustrate Kisame being damaged and him healing himself.

And no, Kishimot's Databook doesn't state anything that's just you guys misinterpreting what the databook states. :lol Where does it state that it destroys chakra like Gentle Fist or that it attacks vitals with chakra? Nowhere. It says it attacks vitals. That's something any ordinary human can do. On the other hand we have 80 Gods Vacuum Attack which is stated to be similar to the Vacuum Palm, but far stronger and in the shape of a fist, that DOES NOT DO INTERNAL DAMAGE. So why would Vacuum Palm?

And no, they were obviously alive until they were killed.

Lmao. I just spent like 4 posts explaining why Air Palm does not do internal damage and why saying Kisame healed is based on nothing at all.

...

Gentle Fist cannot penetrate Kimimaro internally due to Shikotsumyaku enabling Kimimaro to form layer(s) of bone directly beneath his skin - Similar to Kidomaru's gold armor. The Hyuga Clan's way of fighting is ineffective vs Kimimaro.

Shikotsumyaku blocks the chakra network.

This might be the most annoying post to read I've seen in a while.

-Bone shield covers the chakra network externally, Gaara's sand having enough pressure to break SOME of that means nothing.
-None of Neji's moves can deliver that kind of force, nor can the chakra reach the chakra points.

Kimi wins.

lol @ the absolute assumptions made in this thread regarding Kisame and Air-Palm :lol how long is this attack going to be wanked.
