Kimimaro will end up taking this without much of an issue. Kankuro's only possible chance of victory is if he uses poison coated weapons. And I'm not entirely sure if he does.
And even that may not be enough. If Kankuro does infact use poison, it's highly unlikely that he creates his own like Sasori does. Kimimaro could be immune to it anyways, Orochimaru made sure to make his "future vessel" Sasuke poison immune. Kmimaro was also a desired body, there's no reason to think that Kimimaro won't have the same immunity here.
Really, his Digital Shrapnel will be taking out the puppets and breaking them apart. If Kankuro tries to trap Kimimaro like he did to Deidara, the Dance of the Larch will destroy the puppet fro the inside out. And if Kankuro is quick enough to act and tries to impale Kimimaro while trapped in his puppet, those blades have a very low chance of piercing his body. His skeleton is far too strong for only mere blades to pierce it.
