Kimimaro never soloed the Oto Quartet; that obviously false claim originates from non-canon content
the first mention of kimimaro was kidomaru saying he lost to him in the past IIRC

I agree with a lot of Icelerate's post but there's no way in hell Kimmi's reacting to Kido's arrows.
Why not? I'm in the middle or rereading their fight but I haven't encountered his arrows just yet.
I'm not saying he'd need to and I'm not saying he wouldn't. Just saying he couldn't. I'm a huge fan of both Kido and Kimmi and I can't see a single way that any bone in Kimmi could block an arrow that went through an entire forrest of trees that were easily 5-6 feet in diameter and still left a 7 or 8 foot wide crater in the ground.
Are you implying Kidomaru alone is enough to put up a fight against Kimimaro?

the first mention of kimimaro was kidomaru saying he lost to him in the past IIRC
His primary mention was made by Sakon when confronting and defeating Sasuke [ ].
Kidoumaru did imply suffering humilating defeat against Kimimaro [ ]; not along with the others, though.

My bad about the ear drum but I remember reading some bone in the ear a long time ago that is vital to allow people to hear. Since Kimimaro can manipulate bones anywhere in his body, he can shut off the bone that vibrates in the ear thus rendering sound genjutsu useless, however, I must admit that this means Kimimaro can't use his ears to hear potential attacks coming his way from behind him. Alternatively, he can manipulate his own bones to hurt himself to break out of genjutsu.
I'm in no way aware of such bone, nor do I believe that it'd be possible for him to completely shut down his sense of hearing. However, as hurting himself is an absolutely valid counter to Mugen Onsa, there's no need for any discussion.

Jiroubo would get destroyed in taijutsu against Kimimaro and his rock attacks are easily dodged, deflected or tanked. If he gets stuck in the chakra sucking earth dome, he can with Tessenka no mae.
Indeed, in terms of Taijutsu, Jiroubou's inferiority is clear as day. Regardless, fighting as a team takes away that simplicity. If nothing but serving as distraction to be quickly defied, his immane strength in interaction with his Doton prowess [ ] can be used to create openings; especially when considering moves made for no other purpose, such as his ability to create marginal earthquakes [ ].

I could easily say Sawarbi no mae GG but that is not my style and neither is it yours so I'll restrict that move for now.
There's no need to rob Kimimaro of his strongest move; I'm certain that achieving victory is out of his reach without Sawarabi no Mai. Even then, depending on the circumstances, they do have ways of surviving that supreme attack.

Now Sakon/Ukon's abilities are pretty OP in the face of an average taijutsu user but someone with Kimimaro's taijutsu prowess and ability to use ranged bone sword attacks will make quick work of him. Comparing Kimimaro's taijutsu to the likes of 2 tomoe kid Sasuke or Kiba is an underestimation of his abilities who got a 5.0 in the databook with regards to taijutsu ability. Now to fuse to Kimimaro's body, Sakon will need to get close to him but if he does that, will injure him greatly. Even Rock Lee, who is faster than anyone in the sound four, so no one here can compete with Kimimaro in taijutsu.
Again, I never claimed that any of the four could face his Taijutsu on equal ground, which is obviously not the case. As a very touch is enough for Ukon to execute Kisei Kikai no Jutsu, though, which might as well happen after having been impaled [ ], it is a technique to behold of, forcing Kimimaro to either take them out immediately or keeping them at bay. At the same time, Sakon's and Ukon's ability to construct and deconstruct cells [ ] allows them handy recovery.

Sure he is facing off multiple opponents but he did fight against a and even took on Rock Lee and Gaara .
What's your point, though? While Naruto's Bunshin were high in quantity, they only relied on close range approaches, which is basically suicide when confronting Kimimaro. The Oto Quartet, however, fights at all ranges and has, unlike Gaara and Lee, ways to efficiently get rid of Kimimaro.

Personally speaking, I think Kidomaru is the strongest in the sound four and is the biggest threat to Kimimaro. His webs are sticky yet extremely durable. His arrow, however, is a linear projectile attack and Kimimaro, with his 4.5 in speed should be able to react to it just fine. He could simply deflect it with various bone attacks including a localized sawarbi no mae used as defence or use his bone sword to deflect it away.
Regading the webs you are correct; regarding the arrows, however, you could not be any wronger. Arrows of such fine penetrative force [ ] [ ] and speed [ ] aren't deflected by a sword whose most impressive feat is blocking some Shuriken [ ], nor is Sawarabi no Mai executed fast enough to serve as a defense. Should he get hit, which may very well happen if he's either targeted from a blind spot or targeted in a situation where he can't dodge; after he betook to the air, for instance; the arrows would cause severe damage.

What you entirely ignored, though, were Tayuya's Douki [ ], who pose a constant threat as well. As I already said, fighting as a team opens various doors to them; every single time he betakes to the air he runs the risk of being caught by Kidoumaru's sticky webs or Makyou no Ran [ ], both moves capable of spelling out irrevocable defeat. Especially the former's successful operation is greatly eased by any sort of distraction [ ], yet was able to trap two Anbu even without any distraction [ ]. Should he decide to enter the Juin's second stage in order to use Tesenka no Mai or Sawarabi no Mai at their full glory, his movements would slow down [ ]. Eventually, Kimimaro would succumb to the pressure.

Kimimaro.
The sound 4 are actually around jounin level when in CS V2 mode and kimimaro can wreck all of them together.

I'm in no way aware of such bone, nor do I believe that it'd be possible for him to completely shut down his sense of hearing. However, as hurting himself is an absolutely valid counter to Mugen Onsa, there's no need for any discussion.
He's refering to this:

But, Don't respond to me on this, I don't want to be part of your arguement, just adding this in there.

I change my mind, sound four win mid-high difficulty.

I just realized how hax Sakon/Ukon really is, Kimimaro is primarily a taijutsu fighter and with almost any of his moves, he risks getting possessed. The only way Kimimaro has of beating Sakon/Ukon without risking getting possessed by him is by using bone finger drill bullets but those can be dodged or tanked by Sakon/Ukon who have highly impressive regeneration, capable of resisting Kiba's powerful wolf fang over fang.

Even if he uses Sawarbi no mae, Sakon/Ukon can fuse with the bones where Kimimaro himself will be hiding and then they can take over his body, reconstructing his cells and proteins thus killing him.

Your right about Kidomaru's webs and arrows, Kimimaro isn't dodging them while facing three other ninjas at once. Once he gets trapped, it gives Sakon/Ukon the time to possess his body while Jiroubo traps him in the earth dome sucking his chakra and ending the match. Now that Kimimaro is trapped within sticky web, inside a chakra sucking dome and getting his inner-self de-constructed, Kimimaro effectively loses the battle.

Anyway Kidomaru's arrows have great momentum so they can push him into a trap prepared by anyone from the sound four. The arrows won't kill or do much damage to Kimimaro though since Neji got hit by three of them as well as some shuriken made out of Kidomaru's web spit without dying.
