It's possible that he simply gets overwhelmed by 10 different puppets, or her seal could play a role in this match-up and supresse his chakra. There's that one puppet Chiyo has that extends its arms to form sort of a prison, then spits out three bombs wrapped in explosive tags. That could be problematic for Kimi.

That prision bomb is filler, sadly. Her only chance here is the sealing.
Since it can be written on the floor, she could lure and trap him. That's the only possible scenario where i see her winning.

I only started reading the manga when I watched all the availible episodes, about 6 months ago. So I sort of left off in the middle of the war arc. I don't really see a point in reading the manga when I've already watched all the canon stuff. Plus, I like the anime a lot better than the manga, I only read it to find out what happens next.

Kimmimaro may have Taijutsu advantage but Chiyo isn't far off, especially when she can keep her distance with 12 puppets. 2 can use chakra shield to block Kimi's long range attack. Even if Kimmi were to directly use his bone bullet, while dodging puppets, at Chiyo she can defend herself with her shield. Chiyo using one hand to control puppets while using her other hand for defense wouldn't be a problem. Chiyo has always had the ability to use the skill called "Yubi ni sū", Sasori translation is "Finger by Finger" tech[

]. This means that Chiyo puppet skills are so great she can use one chakra string to control one whole puppet like it was all 5 fingers. Although she only used it with 10 puppet collect, that does not stop her from using it with Mother and Father Puppet or 1/10 of her other. Meaning 2 chakra strings is enough to do everything she needs to do (One for Mother and one for Father). IF CUT, it will be easy to use 3 other fingers to use chakra strings to easily re attach them. To Chiyo, one finger = 5 fingers use.
