Kimimaro shits not debatable unless you restrict bone forest.

Then Kimimaro will still have;

-Regeneration
-Unorthodox CQC
-Durability that > Sand Coffin pressure

Chakra sabre couldn't even cut through Kimimaro's bone, only chip a small portion of it.

So Kimimaro still probably shits without Bone Forest.

Kimimaro is gonna have to use bone forest early if he wants to win, because if he engages in close quarters with Asuma he's going to get shitted on. Without bones for defense Kimimaro is comfortably below Drunk Lee. He also had to use bones to soften 1st Gate Lee's kick instead of dodging and/or countering. Asuma went up against Kisame and is said to be top tier when it comes to close quarters combat in Konoha. That's > Lee. That's in the same league as people like Gai and Kakashi.

His regular sized bones are easily cut by Flying Swallow.

So if Asuma can't evade Bone Forest. He loses. If Kimimaro enters CQC at any point of this match, he loses, and since he will enter CQC before moving onto things like Bone Forest, Asuma destroys him.

EDIT: And what are Bone Forest's speed feats anyway? Being fast enough to catch an injured Lee and Gaara? Whose movement speed is average at best?

Bone forest gives Kimi an easy win. Restrict that and Asuma's unique ability to cut Kimi's bones could actually give him the edge if he were sick, interesting fight. Too bad a healthy Kimimaro is simply too fast for Asuma to bissect as easily as some would wish, the guy defeated a KCM Naruto clone after all. Restrict the bone forest and give Kimi back his aids and I see Asuma winning this.

No, it's clearly shown what it was. Kimimaro and Chiyo vs. Naruto's clone and the division that was fighting him. Why you are trying to get speed feats from an off panel battle that involves multiple parties is beyond me. Evading FRS doesn't prove anything. FRS has never been said or shown to be some extremely fast technique.

Evading FRS is not the feat I'm getting at, i'm referring to the logical deduction that Kimi was able to tag Naruto. At the very least, even if you want to ignore the fact that this was portrayed as a 1v1 fight and assume that someone else like Chiyo hit Naruto (lol), Kimimaro was able to keep up and endure a fight against KCM NARUTO of all people without being defeated. Is that not a testament to his speed and strength in itself? In no way shape or form could I possibly see Asuma replicating that same thing.

No. I said he's not going to be in another tier of speed. He's not going to go from needing defensive measures against Gated and Drunk Lee to stomping Asuma.

Except you have zero idea what happened so this whole point is MOOT. Naruto was not fighting alone. Kimimaro was not fighting alone. Anything could've happened off panel to cause Naruto's clone to vanish. Then we have the fact that Naruto's original body was taking damage against Obito.

Nothing was ever portrayed as a one on one. He told Kimimaro he won't get stomped again. The next panel we see of this fight shows both Chiyo and Kimimaro dodging FRS. It was a team vs. team fight. Nothing more, nothing else. Not to mention that is a clone with 1/13 the power the original has. The Edo Jinchuuriki were tagging Naruto and B in close combat and this was the original Naruto, yet they are not exceptionally fast. They were coordinating their attacks. So this logic you are using makes zero sense. Show me what happened during that fight or stop trying to give Kimi speed feats he doesn't have.
