i really like both characters, but Kimimaro would probably win

Kimi would need to get close to sai or hit him with finger bullets or young ferns ( his forest of bones he can merge with ) but I don't think sai has ink jutsu strong enough to hurt kimimaro let alone kill him, his bone KG is 2 strong he can cut through ink beasts easily.

Gaara's sand wasn't strong enough to kill Kimimaro, plus the bones penetrated (broke, but still made it) the sand.

Sai's long range would be an issue, but I think Kimimaro wins. Both are awesome though, but Kimimaro is better in my opinion.

Sai isn't really that great, other than pushing Deidara and Sasori into Kankuro's puppets.
