Kimimaro is Kage Level

Seriously. He's almost invulnerable to Itachi's Genjutsu, has an even BETTER DEFENSE THAN GAARA in melee-fights, is as fast as Lee, and a lot more. Kimimaro in part 1 was SICK and still OWNED Kyuubi Naruto, the 4 Sound Ninjas (1 v 4), Sasuke, Lee, and others in just his base form. Just imagine him healthy, friends. He'd be twice as strong and destroy Kakashi, Gai (1 - 6 Gates), and most of the Akatsuki members without struggling (except Obito and maybe Itachi if he keeps the Susano'o long enough).

Kimimaro had much potential, Its one of those characters I wanted to see live through part one and be in the current arc without being an edo. He was very young and yet so powerful, I couldn't imagine what his prime would have been like.

i honestly agree had he not been terminally ill he would have reached kage level, lee already admitted kimimaru was a taijutsu master and thats when kimimaru was sick so if he was a master on his death bed then he would have been a taijutsu God healthy lol, not only that but few shinobi maybe only tsunade and the 3rd raikage could actually damage him, gaara was a good matchup because he was a long ranged fighter and it took him repeated sand burials and sand tsunami and sand coffins to finally subdue kimimaru for a short while and im sure those combined forces are greater than the force tsunade and the 3rd raiakge's punches exert...

of course because he's basically dead as kabuto stated when he fought gaara and lee so of course a dead man cant beat them while they are in perfect health the point of this thread is to say his potential was halted and he could have been kage level had he been healthy...

Kimimaro was about to kill Gaara, but his heart stopped. He was also sick and struggled a lot. Healthy Kimimaro (who would be a monster) would murder Gaara easily.

I also don't think that he is Kage level, but he could have become very strong if he was healthy and didn't die- otherwise he shouldn't have to become Orochimaru's next host
And he still has one of the coolest and creepiest KG in the manga IMO
