Who fought the multitude of zetsu clones and edo's? It wasn't bee. Bee and naruto was getting spanked when it came to the other tailed beasts. Only when naruto transformed did things begin to look up.

Considering the stress its putting naruto under yes. It's not free chakra its clearly taking its toll on naruto. His own cloak would have been adequate.One less person for naruto to worry about. Or maybe he could have put the sword on his back to use. But naww its just chillin there.

Ino could have mind controlled the obito to change the location(canonically happened), kakashi might have had the ability to warp it, the earth ninja that does the sandwich tech could have raised the juubi's foot to change the location(canonically happened), Naruto could have countered with his own tbb,there was many ways to divert and avoid that attack. So yeah.
