I look at it like this; can Gaara really overpower/defeat a tailed beast, HECK NOOOOO!!!! Let alone a perfect host. Dessert or not, Gaaras sand isn't going to be able to tame a tailed beast.

Only Hashirama, Madara, Obito and Nagato could do that, I'll admit Gaara could probably contain it temporarily but not for long, he'd need help to take down Killer Bee/Full 8 tails. Besides Gaara doesn't have infinite chakra, Killer Bee will have say more chakra than him and will hold out longer. Besides how will Gaara tank a couple of tailed beast bombs? 8 tails has too much strength and fire power for Gaara to cope with.

gaara's dad owned a full powered shukaku in suna,gaara matched his dad outside suna,his dad thought shukaku was out at full power after seeing him attack,so gaara's sand powers are easily bijuu level,also if killer b goes full hachibi,then gaara can do his quicksand,and hachibi's great weight will make it sink faster,not to mention the fact that gaara can raise the sand above killer b instantly,gaara can easily fly and avoid a tbb,not to mention he blocked c3 which was capable of wiping out an entire village in an instant in the beginning of shippuden,he could also attack killer b while he is forming a tbb,and disupt the process and the ratio formation of chakra in the tbb to make it either stop,or even backfire on killer b and force him out of hachibi mode like what happened to naruto against the raikage,

gaara could use the sand underneath his tentacles to form sand arms and crush them,those tentacles are cut rather easily and hachibi seems to feel much pain as well,suigetsu's water demon form pushed back hachibi,gaara could replcate that with his dessert sand easily,he showed the ability to create gigantic sand arms in the begining of shippuden,and those werent from shukaku as they came out of the sand on the ground,not gaara's body.gaara can also use a vast amount of sand to cover the hachibi and use sand burial to hurt bee. The location gives gaara many ways to fight bee.

I don't know who wins really, unlike everyone else I don't just side with Gaara cause he's in the desert and things like "sinking the oppoent" does not work as easily as it sounds and I say this in reference to a Full Form Bijuu. Bijuu have massive strength especially the Hachibi this is one of the Jinchiriki we actually see with biceps and along with the fact the Bijuu Towers so far beyond the height of a village:

Now way is will it be easy for gaara to sink a Bijuu it would take way to much of his sand.

This is the simple spin of the Hachibi.

Both of these techs by Killer B are a Defense and Offensive all at once meaning he can attack at Gaara while pushing the sand away from him. Killer B is capable of keeping Gaara's Sand away from him and both these Techs do not have a particular aim. This means their is no dodge only defense. If Gaara does not use more than just this Sand and with This tech:

Then he is not defending against those two techs. Using most of the desert sand to defend he could block them and that's giving Gaara the benefit of the doubt. These techs being used and having not particular aim makes leaving the "Third Eye" to watch would not be effective because it would be destroyed.

is a Tech that Gaara is not blocking, dodging is his only option and with 2 undodgeable moves I think Killer B would put up a amazing battle with even the chance to win, but Gaara using the right battle pattern can win. So I Vote Draw. I only put up so much evidence for Killer B because everyone was against him in this Fight when Bijuu are known to destroy Villages and that is precisely Gaara's weapon in this fight.

doesnt need to control it. just make bee suffocate and sink before he goes all out against gaara. bee doesnt start in full hachibi, nor has he ever.

Tailed Beast Bomb is a Tech that Gaara is not blocking

hes blocked just about every big concusssive force attack hes come across. namely C3, jouki boi and even 5 susano swords. only piercing attacks have ever made gaara bleed

No sand is going to hold the 8 tails for long. I think most of you are underrating the 8 tails strength, you need some OP jutsu to contain him.

And please don't tell me you compared Shukaku to the 8 tails, Shukaku is the weakest tailed beast. Obito didn't even bother to use him in this war. 8 tails is the second strongest, I'm telling you no amount of sand is going to hold the 8 tails for more than 5 mins. If Gaara tries to sick him then he can just go V2 mode and break free.

killer b has never done 2 tbb's consecutively,he used one against taka to repel suigetsu after he was pushed back,one against the barrier to escape,one against nagato's CT to help destroy it and that's it,he didnt even use it when fighting the edo jins. Gaara was almost out of chakra in the begginning of part 2,and he was blocking the entire village,not just himself,current gaara has much more chakra and is much more powerful than that one. Gaara can dtill dodge the tbb anyway by flying,it's not much of a problem. Gaara dosent need to contain it,he can sink it,or attack an important part of it,he created gigantic sand arms against deidara,he can create several now to grab killer b,he can sever his tentacles easily with the sand underneath.

Shukaku isnt the weakest tailed beast at all,kurama just believed that because he had the least amount of tails,hachibi himself said it was a lie didnt he?,and shukaku in a dessert is easily one of the top bijuus if you dont know,3 tails was beaten by a fish bomb,i am sure shukaku can take more than that,obito had no jin for him,gaara was revived,and he needed a bijuu to strengthen gedo as well,he had the edo jins revived,so he would naturally use them,you think he would choose han or utakata as an edo over gaara if he was dead?. Gambunta a boss summon nearly broke his bones trying to cut a mini shukaku copy that gaara used,full hachibi's tentacles were cut by shurikens tobi threw,and chidori spear sliced it in half,when it comes to being physical,shukaku is up there,and the fourth kazekage overpowered it multiple times while in suna,so gaara's sand abilities are easily bijuu level and can handle hachibi. 5 mins is more than enough time to seal hachibi inside a giant pyramid when gaara contains it,infact the sealing tech gaara uses takes only seconds to finish,if gaara dosent turn the ground to quicksand first and use hachibi's own weight to make hi, sink rdiculously fast,or just dump a shitload of sand from the air on hachibi and use a sand burial on his head.

according to 8 tails himself, the power levels dont go by number of tails and thats why shukaku hates kurama

I would love to see Gaara gain complete control with Shukaku just like with Killer B and Gyūki and fight to see who will win. It should had draw as the third option.
