That's what we've been discussing this whole time. Also, Sasuke only needs one Amaterasu which decides the fight. If he replaces himself Sasuke will see through it with his Sharingan and destroy the tentacle.

And between a Bijuu Dama and Amaterasu, which one do you think is faster? Yeah, my point.
