I live on a family exclusive owned property and me and my cousins all played football, whiffle ball, baseball, or paintball for hours on end. Some kids may want to play video games instead of go outside. Who are you to judge? Too each their own.

Lol .. Yeah, I remember when I used to go to the park everyday till I was like 10 or 11 .. Now I usually go outside to run track .. There isn't really much to 'play' .. unless I go to the beach or something .. But whatever .. Technology has took over the globe .. U_U

I remember going outside to play some football with people from my neighborhood, someties I was going to play fotball with my friends in the afternoon. Those were the days.

When I was younger, I played outside a lot due to playing sports and hanging out with friends.

Now we have Skype, Cell phones, Video games, etc... So we don't have to go outside as much to hangout with our friends.

No? I had an xbox and I still went outside more than I played on my xbox. Nowadays I rarely go out as often because I can just talk to my friends so easily.

Technology man. Nowadays you can do anything with it. I remember when I was kid skate boarding,hide and seek, tag, man hunt, water gun fights. Ah the good ole days. Just like you I was curious and went to go visit my old neighborhood around last year. Of course it was to visit my old buddies who still lived there, it was a good day and brought back memories but just like you I noticed that there were no kids outside but only a few. I was like df happened to this neighborhood?

I'm a teenager [if that counts]. Generally my parents don't let me go out too much because they're overprotective and scared I'm gonna be kidnapped or do drugs or something - they're weird, I know. I like going outside and just thinking since it's easier to do outside and I lack companions. But, I still go to my backyard quite a lot and do weird things and I work out.. So I don't know the purpose of my post

Meh, it is dependent on the generation. I'm 17, and I had lots of Video Games and Electronics at my disposal but I still more or so chose to do things outside (Footy, Basketball, Street Hockey etc.). It's just how the world has changed and how generations are impacted by it.

Parents are getting lazy. They would rather have their kid sit on their ass all day playing video games then playing outside where they could get hurt or get into trouble. That's the point of being a kid. Go outside with your friends and steal some ply wood to make a half pipe then break your hand when you eat shit on it. This is why my dad stopped the cable for two years when i was a kid.

there is nothing wrong in staying indoors. i was born in 1996 and i remember playing PS2 and computer games all the time. and besides even if it is wrong and should be changed it won't. we are slowly evolving into animals that live indoors and have a life "outside" through the internet. if you are sad about kids this days don't look 20 years into the future, because kids playing outside will be as rare as bubble kids from your time.

this is our future, you may not like it but you can't change it, so just suck it up.
