The OP's given starting distance shits on both of your posts although Sakura's punch can do something similar to what Temari did against Tayuya. Using the trees to impale your opponent is a valid strategy on Sakura's part. She has cover against his arrows so she could pull something off but bare in mind Kidomaru's arrows are very fast, pack an immense momentum and are capable of penetrating through 50 m worth of trees.

Also if Sakura gets stuck in Kidomaru's webs, she'll have trouble breaking out although I believe current Sakura with her Yin seal has much greater strength compared to two random elephants. While she is stuck, his arrows can finish her off.

To get away from poison/sleep gas bombs, he can create webs from his body to swing away.

What I was implying albeit vaguely was that Kidomaru started his battle rather close to Neji and didn't really stry to stay out of reach until the 64palms.
