Kid Sasuke even with CS2 won't be able to defeat Kimimaro. Gaara + Rock Lee would not be able to defeat him if they weren't lucky.

You're right man, they weren't lucky. Gaara didn't release shukaku or fly at all, Lee's bones were crushed and he was still in rehabilitation and couldn't use gates, and Kimimaro's pressure resistant body is perfect for combating Gaara's sand style.

So yeah, I would have to agree and say "They couldn't win if they weren't lucky". If the fight was actually unrestricted and they could go all out however? They wouldn't get the shit end of the stick that time around
