I have been wondering since we never got to see Madara's side of the flashbacks how his life as a child must have been.

And here are some things I have "found":

  • Tajima was less strict than Butsuma - Hashirama's dad- as he respected his decision to not continue on fighting.

  • He was always more level headed than Hashirama: he lost faster his brothers and could give good advices on how to deal with these great losses.

  • He had a big grudge even before Izuna died , and it surprising, because Hashirama could have expressed those feelings, but he did not. And by the way, one could say his feelings here go further than just war trauma, I could say it was already some twisted feeling already working inside of him - and here goes my personal opinion: who knows if some family member already blamed him for not being strong enough? Who knows if Black Zetsu had already met with him?

  • Here in this image, one could guess he is already having a flashback from a situation that involved his brother's death

  • And bonus: He was a fashionist!

That was my rant! He is just awesome, isn't he?

Madara was really buttoned up for a kid who was stuck in an age of lifelong warfare that took most of his family. Anybody could tell from the small part of Hashirama's recollection of their more serious conversations as kids that he was a born leader. That being said, Black Zetsu never introduced himself to Madara at any point before he took GM out of the moon.
