Kakashi needed the sharingan to beat Zabuza at first, though it was later shown he was able to beat him without it. However, kid kakashi is weaker.

Asuma is a taijutsu specialist, heavier and stronger than him so I don't really see Kakashi beating him.

Darui is simply all around better than kid kakashi.

Gaara's uncle Yashamaru was fodderized by kid Gaara a few years before the chunin exams and during the chunin exams, Gaara was having a hard time against Naruto, Lee and Sasuke despite the jounins being significantly stronger even then. Also bare in mind that Kakashi may have been promoted relatively early because of the shortage in the number of shinobi due to war.
