To be honest, I'll go with Neji on this one.

Well the thread had already been made. Most sided with Neji but the only ones who said Kakashi was Joki and some Kakashi fans.

I'll go with Neji to because fighting him close range is extremely deadly and I don't think kid Kakashi was a long ranged fighter. Also Kakashi himself admitted that as a kid, he was a fool so Neji has the edge in battle smarts. Even Obito also called Kakashi stupid and Obito wasn't too intelligent as a kid either.

Rotation is a pretty good defence and I think Kakashi won't be able to get Neji. Also Neji could outlast Kakashi as Neji has pretty good stamina while Kakashi's is average at best. I don't think Kakashi could use chidori as effectively ash he can now so his chances seem quite slim. If he did have the rasengan, I guess he could try using that against Neji's rotation and it may penetrate due to the rapid spinning momentum of the chakra in the rasengan which may counteract rotation.

I don't know much about their speed but I'm assuming Kakashi has the edge in that regard. Taijutsu obviously goes to Neji while ninjutsu obviously goes to Kakashi.

Saying kid Neji would lose because kid Kakashi was jounin is wrong since not all jounin are at the same power level neither are all genin at the same power level. Also bare in mind that Kakahsi became a jounin during a time of great need and when man power was low due to ongoing wars to so it was relatively easy to get promoted unlike during the part 1 chunin exams where there was peace and not a lot of jounin were required as there was a surplus of them. In that case, Neji's generation had a harder time getting promoted because the demand for high level ninjas was rather low.

OMG I totally remember that thread! xd Yea this is where I first debated with him and where I first showed the true strength of rotation. Had so many high level debaters proving him wrong and he still said Kakashi.

I'd give this to Neji but it would be much tighter if Kakashi had the Sharingan. He'd be able to read Neji's moves and dodge accordingly. In theory, although he can't copy most Jyuuken techs, he might be able to pull of a dodgy copy of Rotation albeit using a lot more chakra and uneven strength...

Neji's probably got more Chakra than KK at this point, as everyone knows, Kakashi's chakra levels are great but Neji has shown that he can keep a constant release of a large amount of chakra for an extended period of time against Kidomaru...

Neji wins very high difficulty when he has the Sharingan and mid high without. Kakashi is still a Jounin, even a low one, so it's still going to be hard.

Base Sasuke was actually considered lower than Gaara and Neji as they were the strongest competitors besides Lee.

That was before Chidori training. In the preliminary matches, Gaara, Neji, and Lee were the 3 strongest. In the main matches, Sasuke got a massive power up(Lee level taijutsu, speed, and a-rank ninjutsu) and was only rivaled by Gaara.

Neji was certainly on that level. But I thought Sasuke's hype was greater in the main matches, the konoha fans were all mostly excited to see him. And also remember that same Naruto who beat Neji was terrified of Gaara, but Sasuke was able to take on him on and even knock him around a bit. Anyway, this is about Kakashi. I think Sharingan > Byakugan, and despite Neji's superior taijutsu with his jyuuken, I don't think he'll land a hit on Kakashi. He will see what Neji does with his Sharingan before he does it and react appropriately and hurt him... badly.

Kid Kakashi seems to be great at taijutsu.
Unfortunately for him, he has to fight a Hyuga who excels in taijutsu.
Its not like he could use any of the powerful jutsu's he has obtained now.
All he's good for is a few punches, kicks, and slashes.
He could attempt a chidori, but he wasn't perfect at it when he was little
So that could easily be stopped with Neji's rotation. From there, Neji can analyze the situation and 8 Triagrams 64 Palm Kakashi and/or gentle fist. Neji is the ultimate victor for this one.
