I've also thought that Itachi may have found the legendary weapons at a young age because of that first scan. I just have always had the feeling that scan was meant to imply that.

As far as child Itachi being top 3...if that's what you believe then no one can say you are incorrect except Kishi.

I'll say this though....as far as prodigies go. I find Itachi to sit at the acme of what that title means. Alongside Madara and Hashirama....I dare say as a child Itachi may have been superior to them. As far as his attitude, focus, mentation, skill, etc.

From what I've seen from these three I believe Itachi as a child to be far wiser without doubt. There are other children in this Manga that are prodigies as well. Imo just not at the level of the ones I have mentioned by name.
