This is why the anime is getting on my nerves as the animators make the fodder characters look badass and the strong characters look weak. This isn't just in Naruto either.

Oh my god they cut to the Konoha 11 for ONE EPISODE and everyone freaks out.

I totally disagree with you, these guys are the original main characters- please stop overreacting. I'm personally a bit tired of watching Foxboss Naruto literally tank all of these seemingly 'untouchable' edo ninja one after one. Kiba did ONE technique against a weak Rashomon that he could DEFINITELY break in A FILLER and everybody freaks out. Shikamaru, Neji & Chouji are much more interesting because like actual mortal people, they have limits! UGH

Do they make characters like Itachi, Madara & Obito look weak? No. Kishimoto can't stop telling us how utterly perfect they are non-stop.

Do you go to war with spare earplugs? No? Then Tayuya paralyses you and defeats you. Not to mention her summonings.
