I was thinking about how kiado could be immortal and I may have figured it out. So far oda has explained the ope ope no mi and its power, the perennial youth operation. I don't understand why oda would explain that if it will never come into play. Obviously law isn't going to use it on anyone of the straw hats because if luffy was immortal it would kind of kill the suspense in fights. But what if the former user of the ope ope no mi used it on kiado and that's why he is immortal. Kiado looks like he's in his 40's and law in his 20's so the time would match up. Would make for an interesting story

I'm not sure...
Maybe this theory is correct and maybe not.
Still good theory though...

yeah thats one of the ways he could be immortal but im betting that hes not really immortal.i just think that his natural endurance is off the charts and whatever ability he got just made it even more OP.

Doubt it. The word Immortal doesnt mean indestructible. I doubt Kaido has been alive long enough for anyone to for sure know he is immortal. What we know currently is that he doesnt get hurt (easily). It makes more sense that he has high endurance or the ability to take alot of damage than for him to be "immortal", chances are if an immortal person jumped from sky island that they would not die but would break every bone in the body and have to heal, Kaido just got up like nothing happened, thats why i dont feel like he is immortal but have high pain resistance and ability (probably natural) to take alot of physical damage.

Luck Luck fruit.

He is so lucky everything just breaks before it kills him.
He is suicidal because he is trying to find the limits of his power, what can and cannot stop him.

I'm okay with it being hes immortal from Law's fruit, but him being lucky just sounds more entertaining imo.

He isn't immortal. Being immortal doesn't make you super tough.

The rules of Immortality change depending on the writer. Although since it's called the Perrenial Youth operation, i would guess that Ope Ope Immortality just prevents aging, so i doubt Kaido's got it.
