Wind Release, or Futon, is one of the five basic elemental chakra transformations. It is weak against Katon because the wind feeds the flames and makes them more powerful, and this means that wind techniques can be used in conjunction with fire techniques to augment the latter's power. It can also be used with Water release. The wind can push the water to make it flow faster. It can also be used in a similar manner with Earth. It can be used to push up earth, dust etc to create things like dust storms and smokescreens or push mud like with water. Wind is strong against Raiton because wind is a natural electrical insulator. Futon is a component of the following nature Kekkei Genkai: Ice Release and Scorch Release. It is also a component of the Kekkei Tota Dust Release. Wind release is also known for its cutting powers. Wind release can be used to increase the cutting/piercing power of a weapon. The same goes for lightning, but lightning increases the cutting power even more.

I take the leaf in my hand and press it between my palms. I channel wind chakra into my hands, sending it into the leaf and slicing it in half

I begin by inhaling deeply while gathering wind chakra inside my lungs. Then, I make the chakra travel upwards, focusing it into my mouth. I exhale the chakra as a small gust of wind that is aimed at the clone, knocking it over while cutting it slightly due to the wind's sharpness.

Give me some advantages and disadvantages of this technique. Try to be creative. Sometimes jutsus don't have very big (dis)advantages, in that case it doesn't matter if the (dis)advantage is too general.

Advantages:
-It can knock over the opponent
-You could make the wind sharp to cut the opponent
-It doesn't require handseals
-You can shoot the wind from your mouth, so you can perform this while doing something with your hands
Disadvantages:
-It is low in rank so the opponent can easily defend against it and also if it hits it won't do much damage
-Cannot reach long range
-It can knock over the opponent
-You could make the wind sharp to cut the opponent

good, but one thing about the last advantage. I hope you know you could not perform another jutsu with your hands, because that will lead into cancelling the wind stream. So if you blow a wind stream, it will disappear as soon as you create i.e. an earth pillar. And it's safe not to say that the wind is able to cut the opponent as long it isn't described in the technique.

Yeah, I got it. I know you can't perform two jutsu at once, I meant you could throw a weapon or take out a scroll or something.

The dust and sand covers any nearby trees and objects and also blinds the opponent by lodging sand in their eyes
Advantages:
-Doesn't require handseals
-The opponent won't be able to climb nearby trees
-If the sand and dust gets into the opponent's eyes, then they will be blinded and it will be hard for them to see
Disadvantages:
-It can only reach up to short range which means it can't affect opponents far away from you
-The opponent could use another wind jutsu to blow the sand away from them

I begin by molding chakra inside my body and converting it into wind chakra. I then release the chakra while using shape manipulation to form it into a small wall of sharp, spinning wind that acts as a shield to protect me from weak attacks. The wind is sharp an cuts anything that makes contact with it.
Advantages:
-It can be used to defend against attacks
-You could use it to damage the opponent when they are running at you
-It doesn't require handseals
Disadvantages:
-You can only create it short range from you
-It is not powerful enough to defend against strong attacks
-If the opponent throws an explosive tag at the wall, then it will explode instantly and damage you

good, although you forgot to do what I said and didn't push the kunai back. Here comes a D rank wind technique I like a lot.

I gather chakra inside my lungs and use nature transformation to turn it into wind chakra. I inhale deeply and then exhale the wind chakra forcefully out of my mouth as a huge stream of wind that pushes the clone into the the air. The power of the wind also causes several large rocks to be carried off of the ground. The rocks fly into the air and smash into the clone, causing it to disperse from the damage received.
Advantages:
-The opponent might not be able to react quickly enough because the rocks are lifted up at the same time as them. This means that there is a high chance of the rocks hitting the opponent.
-Doesn't require the use of handseals
Disadvantages:
-Cannot reach long range
-This technique has a very low rank so even if it hits, it won't do much damage to the opponent
-You can't use it if there are no rocks xD
