FF is more important? Stupid sure, but we got madd ff games during the ps3 generation and ps4 generation while the last true kh game was back on ps2.

I think SE announced this game just when they started working on it so people would know that KH will have an actual console game again instead of portable spin offs and hd collections. But the team behind the game only worked on ps2 level games and they now had to make a ps4/xb1 level game with pretty good graphics which proabably caused the development team to take a long time.
OP: FInally! TBH 2018 was a pretty easy guess considering KH was doing a pattern of yearly releases. Would've like a more specific date like "insert season here" 2018 or Qx 2018. But still jesus christ SE i was about to become a HS freshman when this game was announced now I bet it'll released in my sophmore year of college. I hope they learn to stop announcing games too early.
Does anyone else not like toy story Sora's appearence? Everything else in the trailer was cool. Though Young Xehanort's model looks a little weird.

proabably due to the focus on the final fantasy franchise during the ps3 age. The director Nomura focusing on Final Fantasy versus xiii and the decision to make more handheld spin offs.
