well as i dont eat out much, and have rarely eaten out at either place, my opinion isnt very strong.

But i like popeyes better. They once had a crawfish special, and the seasoning was amazeing. To me it seems like popeyes probably has more flavor to it, while kfc probably has better chicken(crunchy moist etc), but less flavour ful than popeyes.(not saying it doesnt have plenty of flavour, just that popeyes probably has more.

Again though i dont eat at either enough to really have a strong judgemen/opinion.
