when i posted this pic they said it is kenpachi's shikai but his shikai is revealed today so is this really his bankai??????
That's fan made picture.
maybe but it's more awesome than the kubo's shikai.but how can fan made pics are involved in a manga that is drawn by an author????
I really don't want Kenpachi to get Bankai, it'll eliminate the uniqueness of his character.
no he wont
He will though... why would they waste that potential and just not give Kenpachi his bankai? Kenpachi's uniqueness is in his character traits, not in his inability to use bankai, that's just silly.
Limiting a character like that in a shounen manga is not a good thing to do...
If he gets a Bankai, he'll just be another incredibly powerful Shinigami. Nothing more. A testament to his power was the fact that he was able to become a captain of the Gotei 13 without a Bankai or his Zanpakuto's name. Also, his Bankai would just get stolen immediately from another Sternritter, seeing as they can steal Bankai. He gets his traits from not having a Bankai or his Zanpakuto's name. But some of that uniqueness has already been wiped away with his new Shikai, so if he gets a new Bankai, I wouldn't like him the same way I used to.
Kenpachi's bankai wouldn't get stolen in a thousand years because it would be a NEW, in-development bankai. Or did you forget that the same thing happened with Ichigo? The Sternritter couldnt steal Ichigo's because they didn't have enough info on it, and it was a developing bankai. Plus, Urahara already has a way to recover bankai.
It seems to me you want Kenpachi to stay like he is.
Characters develop. They don't stay in the same rut. We've seen Kenpachi grow from a battle-hungry killing machine to a real shinigami who knows how to use tactics and strategy along with his incredible strength. He's gaining intelligence and he still has the strength to back it up - he pwned a freaking meteor for goodness sake.
A bankai IS a shinigami's uniqueness. So is the shikai. I mean honestly, how are you unhappy about Kenpachi getting more powerful? If it was up to you to write kenpachi's story in this arc you'd probably piss off 99% of the kenpachi fanbase by keeping him nerfed like this.
If Kenpachi didnt get his shikai, and doesn't get his bankai, he's just going to end up right back here

I am well-aware of Urahara's hollow pill that restores the Bankai. The Quincy couldn't steal Ichigo's Bankai because his Shinigami powers weren't even being used until Zangetsu (Hollow Ichigo) had to step in. The reason why Kenpachi was defeated by Juha Bach was because he had sealed away his full power prior to the fight. The fact that he had killed 3 Sternritter without breaking a sweat (AND without a proper shikai) only proves that he was very strong (I'd go as far as to say he was on par, if not better than Byakuya). If the training with Unohana restored his former strength and gave him a Shikai, I would also say that that is enough to fight Juha Bach.
Why should he get stronger than he needs to be. He possesses a Shikai that annihilated a meteor like it was nothing. I trust you understand what I mean when I say that Kenpachi is unique in the sense that he is the ONLY Shinigami that could become a captain without a Bankai or proper Shikai. THAT, is where his uniqueness lies. And I would prefer for him to stay the way he is now, but it isn't up to me. It is for Kubo to decide. Now that I think about it, it would actually be impossible for Kenpachi to unlock Bankai this early (might actually make a thread about it).
okay he proved he could become a captain without a bankai. He did it and that's why we love kenpachi. But that was then. He's arguably the most powerful dude. His bankai wil put him over the top and he doesn't need to not have a bankai to prove his uniqueness because he already proved his strength by becoming a shinigami without a bankai.
That part of his ilfe is over. it's now time to become the op op op op op badass he was destined to become. Why you tryna nerf ken like that?
