[Discussion] Kenpachi's Bankai

So what exactly does Kenpachi's bankai do? It wasn't very clear apart from the fact that he sort of turned into a full fledged beast/devil and his power as awesome as it already is became more OP.......but what the hell is with that broken sword?

Essentially, it turns his skin red and nothing else. He was able to throw Gerard around and cut his limbs off with his eyepatch on and his Zanpakuto sealed, why does he need to go Bankai?

It's also the the only bankai that Kenpachi wouldn't reject. Outright hack n'slash. I think Yachiru deserves credit. She worked hard over the years to understand Kenpachi and tailored herself to his fighting style

Because if Yachiru did anything long distance, or flowery petal, or magical reconstruction, or love story underwater suicide THEN I could see Kenpachi tossing the blade as soon as the gerard valkrie fight was over

You mean Kenpachi's gate if death awakening :Sparks:. In exchange for the user's sanity the user grows leagues stronger than before. To allow super saiyan god kenpachi to gain near unrivaled power. There's going to be a serious drawback from it, there always is. The bankai just olpowers the user up, you saw one chapter of it's going to take more than that to flesh it out.

IS it me, or does his Bankai look likes Ichigos very first release, sword looks the same, it's just broken in half,tha bandaging around the handle, everything is extremely similar to Ichigo down to the markings on his face when he goes hollow.

MFW Kenpachi just ****ed up everyone in Bankai contest, and pretty much made it clear he is some other type of Shinigami, and people can't even understand what it do..
