Ah, Kenjutsu. It's never too early to take up the sword. Before we get to the good part i have a little quiz for you. What is Kenjutsu and who are some noteworthy users of the sword?

I know that Hayate gekko used it in the first installment of naruto to defend his life yet he died in the end during the chunin exams. The seven ninja swordsman of the mist are a couple more that can use this art. Mifune can use it, obviously. Kakashi used a dagger as a kid but i'm not sure if that's the same thing, Itachi uses one to kill his village and i do believe he uses it for his genjutsu as well. This leads me to the explanation of what it actually is and what it can do. Since itachi uses a sword in his genjutsu this means that kenjutsu can be used in tandem with genjutsu, also with the basics of taijutsu and ninjutsu. Kenjutsu is the art of the blade, yet more than a extension of the arm but a source of pure swiftness and power. Kenjutsu can be combined with our chakra and thus we can perform jutsu with our sword and or weapons.

Unsheathing his blade and getting into a ready stance he positioned the blade downward beside his waist. As the opponent approaches near he grips the handle firmly with both hands before he swiftly delivers a distracting obtuse slash nearly avoiding the opponents head however, cutting pieces of their hair. With the slash he positions himself beside the opponent and as they're distracted he lowers the blade waist level and quickly runs the blade against the left side of the opponent followed by a forward step leaving him positioned behind the opponent. Following the side cut momentum he twists his hands and swings downward in a acute angle slicing deeply into the opponents backside then swiftly afterwards delivering a forward stab with the blade through the stomach.
Well done. I hope you've warmed up because now we'll be practicing sets of three. The first is quite straitforward: Deliver three punches to your enemy before slashing them twice with your blade. A sword works but kunai are just as good. Remember, eye of the tiger!

Next, just slash your enemy with a tanto several times as you spin. You know...a short sword, flat at the top...Anbu like Sai carry them. Obviously it's useful as a 360 degree attack capable of hitting enemies all around you. Anyway, take this if you want to live!

As one of the pein's grow near the swift direct punch to the underbelly follows that causes immediate halt to the rapid movement of the speeding dash making him bend over. With another motion he moves the same hand over pein's head to deliver a downward backhand with his fist to the jaw causing him to spin clockwise. As the pein spins the blade in the other hand gently runs across the throat that follows up with a violent thrust to the chest with the same blade.
Letting go of the blade in hand as it remains stuck in the chest of the previous pein he turns around to grab a gifted tanto from his sensei. Quickly noticing two other peins rush towards him he runs too with the intent to kill, jumping before contact he spins with grace between the two. With great precision the multiple cuts only hit the eyes of both peins gifting the two blindness but not death.
As his sensei points towards the last pein in question he turns around to deliver a sweeping kick to one of the blind peins causing them to drop to his knees. Using this advantage he jumps on the back of the one that fell and uses him for forward momentum as he uses his back as a spring to position himself above the last pein. By still using the same tanto as before he falls on top of the pein and at the same time thrusts the small blade into the back of his head.

Superb. Now i want you to dash in front of your enemy and strike them with your sword handle. Follow up with several kicks to launch the enemy into the air. As he is falling and nearing the ground, dash over to to his position and deliver a powerful punch sending him crashing into an obstacle like a tree or boulder. A rather unorthodox technique but good for dispatching an enemy not worth dirtying your blade on. Take him out.

After commencing a ready stance the right hand carries over to the top of the scabbard, the thumb flicks the guard of the blade causing it to detach from its sheath slightly making it loose. A dash followed after making the blade loose from its sheath, as he draws near the same right hand swiftly relocates to the hilt. With a mere grasping thrust with the bottom of the hilt to the Pein's chin it stuns him allowing Byakuya enough time to spin around to deliver a quick high kick to Pein's face. Another kick followed after the first, however this time directed to the chest. Among the second kick he spin once more in 180 degrees to deliver one last kick to the stomach causing Pein to shoot up in the air. As Pein falls Byakuya deals out a quick final blow to the stomach of his opponent right before he reached the ground causing him to shoot backwards against a pillar.
By unsheathing the blade he concentrates his chakra to pour some into the blade, afterwards he turns the blade over to its back dull side then dashes towards the last Pein. As he nears he thrusts the blade upwards with force the dull side connects to the Pein's chin causing him to fly upwards. Suddenly appearing above the Pein he turns the blade to its sharp side before thrusting into his back before falling to the ground.
By unsheathing the blade he concentrates his chakra to pour some into the blade, afterwards he turns the blade over to its back dull side then dashes towards the last Pein. As he nears he thrusts the blade upwards with force the dull side connects to the Pein's chin causing him to fly upwards. Suddenly appearing above the Pein he turns the blade to its sharp side before thrusting into his back before falling to the ground.
Excellent. This is the only projectile technique you'll get. Simply make a crescent shaped slash at your enemy and release a red chakra wave from the blade. And yes, it cuts like an actual blade. Take your pick.

(Suraisu Shinku no Nami) - Slicing Crimson Wave

Like sensei said, Byakuya takes out his sword and swings it horizontally to form a crescent red blade that shoots out from the blade to cut not only one but all of the peins in question through the abdomen.
Yeah.. i don't think i know chidori. Not too sure to be honest, i only know up to b-rank lightning so that's probably why. Should i do another jutsu instead?

Nothing to worry about. We'll move on. This is it, the end of the line. Just two moves left. First, channel chakra into your sword until it becomes visible on the blade. Then leap into the air and spin rapidly like a top. Your blade should form a circle as you spin and cut through your enemy. Cut him down.

Byakuya begins by unsheathing his blade and through immense concentration he pours his chakra through his hands and into the blade he wields. He begins by running forward towards the taunting pein to get momentum then jumps in the air and begins to spin clockwise. As byakuya falls the blade cuts through the pein with ease and as his feet touches the ground his spinning momentum halts immediately.
As his sensei touches him he swiftly thrusts his blade into the ground to direct the lightning through the earth instead.
