[Kenjutsu] with Nathan

(Suraisu Shinku no Nami) - Slicing Crimson Wave

One/three advantages:

• 1. A kenjutsu technique that doesn’t have to be done at mid-range
• 2. Doesn’t require a set-up such as several punches and kicks before actually nailing the fatal strike
• 3. After the wave is done, the user can follow up with combinations

One/three disadvantages:

• 1.Can only be performed at mid-range
• 2.An opponent with quick reactions can counter easily
• 3. Wave is visible, so opponent can see it coming.

How you would use it in battle:
I would use a jutsu that can set up traps throughout the battlefield such as the lightning mineralization jutsu to give my opponent less room to counter and perform this technique. I could also use the lightning shock jutsu to distract my opponent then send this jutsu at him. Throwing a smoke/flash bomb or a jutsu to temporarily blind my opponent would prevent him from seeing the wave coming at him.

How you would counter it: A quick jutsu that can move me into long-range such as the wind stream technique would move me out of the distance of the wave. A earth or water jutsu to boost me into the air would also work. Using a strong enough wind jutsu might be able to break apart or push away the red wave of chakra.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):
Standing mid-range from the clone of his sensei, Shadou grabs onto the hilt of his katana with his right hand and pulls it out from its sheath. He begins to gather his chakra from within while channeling it down into the sword. Once the chakra is focused in the katana, Shadou raises his right hand so that it is near his left ear. He then quickly swings his arm downward in front of him as the katana releases the gathered chakra in the form of a red wave directed at the clone.

(Kusanagi no Tsurugi: Chidorigatana) - Grass Cutter Sword: One Thousand Birds Katana

Description: The user flows Chidori current through a katana in manner similar to flying swallow technique. The Radiating and chirping blade can easily cut through steel. Furthermore, the body of the person cut by the sword goes numb, taking away their freedom of movement.

I want you to flow your per-made chidori though your blade, from there. I just want you to advance towards my clone, cutting him any which way you see fit. Nothing else to add, for me anyway.

• 1. Once cut, the body becomes numb
• 2. Can cut through objects such as steel
• 3.Once numb, the opponent is restricted with movement, leaving them vulnerable

One/three disadvantages:

• 1. Chidori could take some time to gather
• 2. Can only be performed in short range
• 3. User can hear the chidori gathering, giving them time to prepare a counter

How you would use it in battle: For this jutsu, I could use the chidori needle jutsu that use this jutsu so his body would be completely paralyzed. I could use a jutsu capable of dragging my opponent towards me while I set up this jutsu. Casting a genjutsu on my opponent that will temporarily immobilize him will give me the chance as well to perform this technique
How you would counter it: I could use a lightning jutsu that adds the properties of ration into my sword to match this technique. A strong enough wind jutsu that releases as a gust should rid the blade of the chidori, making it a basic katana. While my opponent is preparing the jutsu, I could use a jutsu to trap his footing so he wont be able to move in and perform the attack.
How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):
Once his sensei finishes instructing him on what to do, Shadou withdraws his katana once more from its sheath, wrapping his right hand around the hilt tightly. He begins to gather the necessary lightning properties for the chidori jutsu, letting it flow throughout his sword. Once the chidori is fully flowing throughout the katana, chirping sounds can be heard in the area. With the sword held in front of him, Shadou begins to slowly approach the clone. Once within distance, he pulls the hand that held the sword back so that his hand was rested on his rib area, then Shadou quickly thrust his arm out, stabbing the clone in the stomach causing it to go numb from the added chidori effects.

Description: The user will channel chakra into their sword making it glow blue and then jumping into the air they spin at a rapid rate creating a spinning circle and cutting through the enemy target.

Okay with this last technique that I can teach you, I want you to gather your chakra into your blade which will made the blade glow blue, from there I want you then to jump into the air and make yourself spin very fast, allowing you to cut threw your target, this technique looks useful, but I guess the fact you have to jump in the air to use it is, a bit of a downside.

• 2. Jumping into the air may surprise your opponent
• 3. Doesn’t require a long set up

One/three disadvantages:

• 1. Requires user to jump into air
• 2. When spinning, you’re temporarily vulnerable to jutsus
• 3.

How you would use it in battle: I could throw a smoke bomb at my opponent or perform the hiddein in the mist jutsu, giving me the chance to jump into the air and perform the technique while he is temporarily blinded. Depending on how high into the air I am, I could first perform a quick jutsu that requires no hand seals and can be done in mid-air then follow up with this technique. Using an technique capable of trapping my opponent beforehand will also give me the chance to perform the technique.
How you would counter it: Once the user is spinning in the air, I could send any jutsu at him to stop his spinning and damage him. A strong enough wind jutsu or fire jutsu to while the spinning circle is coming my way should help. When the user is spinning in the air, I could use the hiding like a mole technique.
How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):
With his katana still in hand, Shadou begins to gather his chakra, allowing it to flow through his hand that was wrapped around the hilt and into the katana. The katana begins to glow blow once the chakra is focused in it. Shadou then jumps high into the air, spinning his body at a rapid rate once he reaches the top of his jump. A spinning circle is created from Shadou’s spinning that makes its way towards his sensei’s clone, cutting through it upon contact.

(Kenjutsu: Hirashin) - Sword Technique: Lightning Rod

Description: The user by use of a sword can use it as a rod to attract lightning currents that are channeled into the user from opponents attacks and by pointing the tip of the blade into the ground the user is then able to dispel the lightning charge nullifing the effects of paralysis. However this only works on free flowing lightning based techniques such as the Chidori current and not on focused lightning based techniques

Okay I will send a simple lighting technique towards you, what I want you to do is to point the tip of your blade into the ground, as the lighting technique comes close towards you, your sword should dispel the lighting chakra and keep you out of danger, but this technique only works on free flowing lighting techniques.

• 1.Can be used to protect the user from lightning based chakra
• 2. Doesn’t require hand seals or a big set-up
• 3. Can absorb major techniques such as the chidori current

One/three disadvantages:

• 1.Only works on free-flowing lightning techniques
• 2. User has to have hands on hilt of the sword, leaving them vulnerable.
• 3.Technique serves little purpose

How you would use it in battle:
Since this technique serves little purpose, there wouldn’t be too many situations where I would use it in a battle. If my opponent is performing a lightning jutsu that is free flowing, using this technique may throw him off his game plan where I could then send a jutsu. Also, while pointing the sword down to the ground, I could use a jutsu that requires no hand seals and can blind my opponent so he won’t get to quickly follow up with another jutsu while my sword is in the process of dispelling the lightning chakra.

How you would counter it:
While my opponent is using this technique, I could send a focused based lightning jutsu to catch him. While the lightning is being drawn to the sword, I could send a water jutsu to douse my opponent as well.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):
As his sensei sends a basic, free flowing lightning jutsu at him, Shadou prepares himself by twirling his katana so that the sharp point of the sword was pointed down towards the ground. The katana acted as a rod, drawing in the lightning chakra and dispelling it. Once the lightning chakra was gone, Shadou stuck his katana into the ground and looked at his sensei with a wide smirk on his face.
