Only several hours towards the New Years and you can expect Alice was quite excited. As she took walked into the training grounds she saw her new student with his sword already but Alice wasn’t in the slightest mind ready for training. She wore her favorite Chinese inspired dress along with her golden fan in her hand. She tasted the chakra of her enemy and with a smile she shouted;
Happy New Years!... at least in a few hours hehe
She said awkwardly as she forgot it wasn’t that time as yet. None the less she took a bite of her thumb tip and wiping the blood; she slams her hand as she summons a sword from her arsenal hidden away in her mansion. She then took the sword and drew her blade.
Before we start can you tell me what is Kenjutsu to you, some world known users(RP Wise if you know any/Canon Wise as well) and how does chakra flow and the basic 5 elements affect Kenjutsu.

What it means to me:

By flowing one's chakra through the blade, they can increase its cutting power and further its reach. It's also possible to use the flow to create ranged arcs of chakra to damage opponents afar. Adding nature transformation also offers many benefits:
Katon - Increases lethality by adding the ability to burn/incinerate opponents on contact, or release a wild burst of flames at mid-range.
Raiton - Enhances cutting power and has the ability to numb opponents, effectively disabling them.
Fuuton - Like Raiton, enhances cutting power greatly. Potentially could be used to make multiple incisions on contact.
Doton - Can be used to make the sword heavier for stronger attacks, or lighter for easier mobility.
Suiton - Using shape transformation, water can be shaped into a sharp stream surrounding the blade, or hardened into ice to increase lethality.

Silently listening along to her student; Alice made some mental notes in case she needed to revise anything over with him. She then took a snap of her finger and changed back into her normal outfit considering the new year’s is over now. She then began to speak towards her apprentice.
Good! Id also like to mention im not exactly that great with a sword hehe. Some of the sword masters of this world would be along the likes of Zoro Rorona Anduril(Caliburn) , Keotsu Asakura(KeotsuEcplise) and Unohana Kaito(Izanami Kaito). They are some of the most respect swordsmen in the entire shinobi and samurai world.
Going onto the point about the elements; you are correct but also with Suiton you can change the properties of the blade to actually liquefy under the right jutsu with you as well. Using earth chakra can also increase the defensive properties of the blade, or you can create what I call “attachments” such as spikes and such to help with your blade.
Now before we get into the physical portion; can you tell me all the sword paths of which your sword can be swung? There are four of them; so think wisely when trying to come around with your answer!
