While waiting for your sensei, you stand there rubbing your hair, adjusting your pouch, etc. Suddenly, on the winds breeze, you hear faint noises. In front of you, Daenerys stands with a katana - slowly placing it back with her sheath. When it fully enters and with that last click, you feel your clothes slice before they fall right off your body.

Welcome student. Apologies for the clothes. You're hear to learn the way of the sword - soft and cunning. You will barely notice it coming before it's too late. Gaining mastery over the blade takes discipline and a clever mind. Like all trainings, I want you to explain what kenjutsu is? How is it achieved? How are you capable enough to master the sword.

Daenerys hands you new clothes

Go..

It was a warm day in some random grasslands, Sasuke awaited for his sensei near a tree. After seeing his sensei, he knew that this would be the hardest training session he would have to go through. Not exactly because the subject itself was hard, but his sensei.. is a bit on the weird side. He stared at his sensei, realizing that he would have to get used to her for a while. She put her sword back on the sheathe.

"Rip"
Sasuke had no idea what just happened at that time, but the only thing he realized was that everything suddenly got colder. He could feel the breeze in his entire body.. He looked down, realizing that his clothes were completely torn off and the shreds of what was left of it was lying on the ground.

Wha- What?! Pervert!"

Sasuke yelled as he grabbed the new set of clothes, which he quickly changed into behind a tree. This girl.. is a weirdo! Hope this training session goes by quick. But i do admit, her skills with a sword is beyond comprehension. Sasuke thought to himself as he walked out, seeing the face of his impacient sensei. Sasuke listened to what his sensei had to say, and began thinking of his answer to the question as he continued listening.

"Uh, okay. I'll try my best. First of all, kenjutsu literally means sword techniques. It describes the ability and the adeptness ones swordsmanship and skills. Ninjas use Swords, however, Samurai's are more commonly found using swords intead of ninjutsu or elemental ninjutsu techniques. To enhance the power of one kenjutsu techniques, shinobi's usually add their own chakra. They can incorporate ninjutsu, taijutsu, chakra flow, and even genjutsu to perform even more devastating results. Kenjutsu users are usually found in the Land of Iron, a village where most samurai's live with one another. Shinobi's that are adept at kenjutsu include Sasuke and Killer Bee. Kenjutsu is achieved by the movements of your sword to create techniques that incorporate the sword. And as for the last one, i'm not completely sure.. I guess we'll have to find out!"

Sasuke recited, hoping that the information he read from the Library was enough to please the new sensei of his. The winds continued to blow as the Sensei thinks of what to say next. Awkward silences continue, as Sasuke looks around the mountainous terrain filled with wonderful greenery and scenery.

Good answer.

Now, here take this bokuto - a practice sword made of wrapped straw. Either way, training is the art of the sword reigns upon all sorts of emotions. Even the most angry of swordsmen can still overthrow an empire of peaceful swordsmen yet what makes one user over another? That is a answer I cannot tell you. You must figure that out as we go and decide what you think makes a master at the end of our training. So, being a swordsmen bears down to cunning, intellect, and a keen eye. I'll break down your training in each of those aspects.

*Daenerys takes out a scroll - unravels it and slams his hand upon it. Suddenly 3 doorways rise behind Daenerys - one says cunning, the other intellect, the last keen eye*

When the time is right you will walk through each doorway to test yourself in that aspect. We'll start with cunning. Explain to me what that is? How does it work into swordplay?

Begin..

Phew, i sure am glad that answer satisfied her.. I would have been cut into pieces if i was wrong! Sasuke continued to listen to her directions, as he secretly imagine himself as a kenjutsu master. Defeating strong opponents with one slice of his sword. That time will come soon.. especially with the training of this skilled swordsman.

He watches as his sensei slams her bloody hand in a mysterious scroll. If i do recall, that is a summoning. Though i may be wrong. Wonder what she summoned.. maybe a cool animal? Sasuke continued imagining as he was disappointed with the appearance of three doors.

"Please explain to me what cunning is, and how it works well with kenjutsu. Anything you know about it."

Sasuke began brainstorming as he begins to think of answers. Cunning.. Isn't that like speed or deception? I'm not entirely sure.. but i guess i'll give it a shot. Sasuke remained silent for a short period of time, thinking, thinking, and more thinking. He knew the basics of cunning, what its meant for but he had no idea how to elaborate on it. Well.. i guess i'll give this a shot.

Sasuke took a deep breath and began..
"Ahem, well in my opinion, cunning means deception and evasion. If i am right, then i am guessing that cunning works well with kenjutsu because of its speed. Basically, if you are able to dodge sword attacks coming towards you, you also would logically have the ability to attack your opponent just as fast. Speed in kenjutsu is incredibly important, maybe one of the most importance when compared to the other doors. If you are faster and sleeker then your opponent with a sword, you would easily outmaneuver them. To elaborate more on this matter, if you are a cunning swordsman, that means you have a good eye as well. You watch every move, notice the way they fight, and base off of that, you find there weakness. You are also able to predict there next movements, giving you the advantage by dodging it easily.. That's all i know."

Sasuke stayed quiet, hoping once again that the answer would impress his teacher.

Good answer.

You cannot be reckless.. Cunning is a hard ability to achieve - some are born with it while the rest have to learn it. It can be used in near anything in life, the way you talk or the walk you walk. However, we will learn it in the way of swordplay. Use your bokuto and fight my clone. Try your best to predict his movements - this will be hard and I do not expect you to be able to preform this right away.

Creates clone with a bokuto!

Now, you cannot expect to be able to predict an unknown targets movements right away. You kind of have to..test them to see how they react and how they move. with training you can do this much quicker to other unknown but since you're a novice it won't happen right away. Give it a go.

The clone charges at you - when he gets close he raises his bokuto and tries to stab you directly into the stomach..

"Okay, understood.

Sasuke said with a stern face as he faced your clone, holding his own weapon in his hands. "Think, Sasuke.. to predict his movements, I have to.. uhh.. just defend until I get the patterns of his swordsmanship." He thought to himself as he analyzed the clones position and stance. Without any warnings, the clone runs towards him at full speed, with her sword in her hands, ready to stab Sasuke.

As the clone gets closer, Sasuke notices him raising his sword, ready to blow it down to stab him. Luckily, for Sasuke, he had a fairly good reaction time and was able to react to the sword running down on him quickly. He took his own sword, placed his left hand on the blade and his right hand on the handle, and put it above his head in a horizontal way, blocking the bokuto and defending him from taking any injuries. The clone moves his sword back and continues to slash Sasuke, while Sasuke took the defensive and defended against all the attacks.

"Oh, I get it now.. I can feel the way his clone attacks me, he has a certain pattern.." Sasuke thought to himself as he shielded from another attack. He continued defending, for about two minutes. He soon got the hang of it, he noticed the patterns in the way your clone attacked.

He summarized all he learned in his head. "So, he attacks from the top, then left, then right side.. I guess ill have to find an opening in between the time he attacks.. Okay, I know what I have to do." He continued defending for the next few minutes, making sure he would get the timing right. Finally, when your clone moves his bokuto from the left to the top, Sasuke takes his own sword and slashes your clones stomach without a seconds delay, which causes your clone to disappear.

"How was that, sensei? For a minute there I thought you were trying to kill me!"

Skip to the point where we make conact at one point with the bokuto.

As the two bokuto make contact, the clone of Daenerys feels the weight you're putting into yours so that you would be able to push it away. Hence, at that moment the clone provides the same amount so that bokuto doesn't swing off. Since it doesn't swing off, the clonse side step to the right (your left) on the side of where your bokuto was on and fully does a 360degree spin around. The sudden move of the clones bokuto causes the weight you were putting in to push forward and off track, while the back of the clones bokuto hits your in the back.

Do you understand what just happened? Explain.

"I will try my best. Basically, i was putting too much weight and force on my bokuto as i tried hard to overpower your clones. You took the smart way and spun around, moving your bokuto along with you. Because of the force i was exerting on my bokuto, i was kind of pushed towards where your sword was, makijg me sort or trip while crouching down. At that time, your clone who did a 360 degree turn took advantage of my new position (lower and back completely vulnerable). He used the handle of his bokuto to attack my back, and it was done quickly because the handle was the nearest to my back when you took the spin," Sasuke Replied.

Good observation!

This was an example of cunning, indeed. By throwing you off and using your own weight against you I was able to affectingly land a hit - perhaps even a killing blow. Assess your target carefully and assess your own motives in an attack or block so that you will be able to counter back as well.

Clones poofs away!

Now, You seem to understand the basics of cunning but these motives I'm teaching you is the overall training I want you to gain however, kenjutsu is more then just mental. It's also physical and basic concepts. So let's take a break from philosophic arguments. You know what..

Sensei looks around!

We need more stuff here.

With a snap of her finger, the sun goes out and back on. Suddenly the field we're in is filled with logs, dummies, a cabin, food, and other pieces of training equipment.

Well, see the standing log over yonder? Go over there and I want you to alternate between vertical and horizontal slashes with your bokuto. With every swing, gain a more fluid delivery, create a flow. Practice makes perfect, no? Begin, padawan.

Sasuke waits one whole day and night, for the terrain to magically change. This time, it brought forth hundreds of logs, dummies, a cabin with food, and tons of training equipment. Sasuke quickly runs inside the cabin, taking some of his favorite food with him which included Rame, Spaghetti, Coca-Cola, and fried chicken. He chomps down as he listens to his sensei's explanation.

"Understood!" He said enthusiastically, running towards the log.

Sasuke unsheathes his bokuto, revealing a worn out weapon. "Sensei should give me a new weapon once this training is over.." He thinks inside his head. He begins and positions his bokuto to his right, readying himself for a horizontal slash to the wood. He quickly slashes, and feels the slash as if he was the bokuto. He felt that the slash was sloppy, it was rugged and not as smooth as he wanted. He puts his bokuto up towards the sky, and slashes down. Again, he felt the rugged feeling of slashing through the log. "This doesn't .. feel right :|" Sasuke repeats this, vertical/horizontal pattern for a good 10 minutes. "I'm starting to get the hang of it!" He rejoices as he begins feeling a different way when he slashes. He felt the sword quickly grazing the wood, as if it was so fast that he didn't have time to feel the ruggedness. He repeats this once more, slashing the worn-out wood, in the exact same slash spots as he did previously. "Sensei... This feels kind of like dancing, it's all majestic and smooth!"

3 hours later..

So, you look a bit tired there? Seems like you need a break. Take a quick 10min break. Afterwards, I want you to practice lunges. Let me explain what a lunge is. More or less it's a stab, you'll be thrust your bokuto forward with the point headed towards the target, rather simple. this allows for pinpoint attacks like if you're targeting a certain body part or organ. However, it rather obvious to see coming and can easily be blocked. Let me show you what I expect;

Daenerys preforms a typical lunge onto the training dummie!

You must be registered for see images

Like so, the image shows more of a fencing lunge but the same concept nonetheless. Do it onto the training dummie until I return and stop you. Practice, practice, practice. While you're doing this try and stab certain areas like the head, legs, and chest. Aim is apart of this exercise so take this t the fully experience possible. Begin..

Sasuke listens to his sensei's explanation and details on the word "lunge." Though it did not seem all too important, Sasuke realizes that these basic lunges can potentially kill an opponent if aimed correctly. Aiming?! I can't even aim in the toilet! I'm screwed! After listening through the whole lecture, Sasuke felt a surge of happiness when he found out he was rewarded with a short break. "Thanks sensei! I am getting pretty tired!"

Sasuke lays on the ground completely exhausted, closing his eyes and counting down in seconds to keep track of how much time he has left and reassure himself that he won't accidentally fall asleep.

He opens his eyes, somewhat energized after that short nap. "Alrighty, time to train!" He said enthusiastically. He grabs the bokuto and runs towards the training dummies. Sasuke creates a visual image of the picture his sensei showed him. He stretched at first, mimicking that posture and moving his bokuto to and fro to get the feel of quickly stabbing through an opponent. He practices for a few more minutes, continuously poking vigorously and forcefully. After getting the hang of it, he faces an actual training dummy. Okay Sasuke... you got this under control, focus...

Sasuke steps back a few feet from the dummy. He takes a deep breath and pushes his left foot and makes a mini-jump, at a fast rate going close to the dummy. When he was in arms length after one small jump, he extends his bokuto towards the dummies heart, however, at his first try it sort of slipped off to the side. ...What?! Damn, i need more force and speed! He examined in his head. He redo's his moves and techniques, each time adding more speed in his steps and hardening his posture, making him feel like a statue. But the end results were great, after a few practice shots for 10 minutes, he was able to actually land a poke by extending his hand right out with great speed and having his arms stiff and as vertical as it can be. He continues this for a few more rounds and moves on the the legs. There he does the same moves but at the end, he would lower down the bokuto and his arms. He was starting to get the hang of it, despite having slipped again a few times and accidentally hitting the crotch. This is not as hard as i thought... He practices this a few more times, this time aiming towards the eyes, arms, stomach, sides, and head. He pierces the spots plenty of times with the usual stiff posture combined with proper arm extension and the key, speed & preciseness. He takes the training dummy and shows the deep holes he made by repeatedly piercing through the wood. He runs this towards his sensei."Look sensei, I've done it!" Once again he places the dummy on the ground to demonstrate.
