*poof* Hello my child :3 Tell me why you wish to learn Kenjutsu and how you intend to use it in combat.

I personally view Kenjutsu as art. The use of swords is amazing, the combinations excite me. I have started Taijutsu training and now is when i'm starting to learn how to fight in short range. Before i was always scared to get in short range in fights, because i didn't have any experience. Kenjutsu will be one step closer to becoming a better close range fighter. Not only that but this training will help me to improve role playing wise. As you need very detailed descriptions when fighting close range and using kenjutsu.

Hmm, i have swords on both of my bios. Though both are different, one of my bios has a sword called Excalibur which is a bigger and thicker sword than the one on my other bio, which is a normal katana. With the katana, the slashes would be done faster than with a bigger sword like Excalibur, so knowing me, i would prefer a katana because you can attack the opponent with more speed though a bigger sword would probably cause more damage if you're able to strike the opponent.

You gotta admit, this sword is sexy.

Horizontal; The user gets on a overhead position, with the sword perfectly horizontal, it is cast out, much like casting a fishing rod by pulling with the left hand at the bottom, much like a lever until it makes contact with the head or shoulder of the opponent and then simply drops down to stop horizontally again. The action should be done without ‘power’, allowing the blade to drop down.

Vertical; A vertical cut to the right side of the shoulder, it begins in the same position as the basic overhead cut and then tilts slightly on a diagonal path as it is levered by the left hand. With the feeling of casting a fishing line it makes contact with the target as the arms are extended and the momentum carries through the target, finishing in a position slightly slower than horizontal, breaking with the elbows touching the body.

Diagonal; The user bringing ones sword up to their right or left shoulder and then swinging their sword diagonally to their left or right hip/knee but not hitting it. Instead of attacking the opponent, this is used commonly do deflect enemy ninja weapons or even to make room for another.

Thrust; To perform a Thrust, start your attack while moving forwards or backwards. You will attack straight ahead with your weapon. This attack is good for keeping your distance from opponents, especially since you can start it while moving backwards, and always keep yourself out of range of their attacks.

Horizontal As you throw the bokken at me, i get ready and catch it with my right hand. I then hold the bokken tight with both of my hands. I plant my left foot firmly and then i raise my hands above my head while holding the bokken. As i hold the bokken above my head, i simply drop down horizontally again without any power, allowing the blade to drop down, cutting the dummy's head in half. Vertical As the bokken comes down, I carefully bend my right knee and i then angle my left leg slightly and i plant again. I then tilt my wrist to 90 degrees, so that my right palm face upwards now. I then pull my left hand away from my right while keeping my grip in both hands. Slicing to the left. Diagonal I grab the bokken and hold it so that the point is facing towards the ground at a 45 degree angle. I then quickly raise the booken up to my left shoulder, keeping it there. I slash the booken going diagonally and slicing the dummy and leaving a decently deep cut. Thrust I take a step forward with my right leg and at the same time, while holding the bokken gripped in both hands, i thrust the tip forward, piercing the dummy's body and leaving a deep cut on the dummy.

Well in my session you earn techniques based on how well you describe the moves.
Now use the following template when replying

PHP:
How is it performed?
Showcase of usage in a combo
Image of technique(if avaliable)
Any questions?

(Ken Rendan no Jutsu) - Sword Barrage Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 25
Description: With this technique, the user will make a sequence of slashes with their sword and finishes with a powerful final slash dealing liberal damage to their enemy.

Alright here is the first technique, this technique is a very useful one as well.At first glance it looks average but for someone like you, this would give you the upper hand in freeform as in freeform you can easily counter the target etc,but with this if the target wants to get out of it he either has to have good descriptions to avoid the technique or most do the "most counter a jutsu with a jutsu" gimick forcing him to attack.None the less it is performed by simply taking your sword and striking the target several times before dealing a final liberal slash, but the hint in the technique is it never states that it requires a "specific amount of slashes" so you could do 30-70 slashes with this one technique alone which again is where your imagination and description comes into play.

Any questions?

How is it performed?
I take my sword from my left hip and i begin to run towards a dummy standing in the area. As i get to short range from him, i stop and i perform two horizontal slashes from right to left, leaving some cuts on the dummies chest area, i quickly continue and i perform two more horizontal slashes this time from left to right, cutting the dummy open in the chest are. I end my attack by raising both of my hands while grabbing my katana tight with both of my hands and i drop it, without using any power, slashing through the dummy's head.

Showcase of usage in a combo
Like you said, in the description it doesn't state how many slashes you can perform, so one can take advantage of that and perform countless slashes. By performing several countless slashes, my opponent would busy dodging them, as the speed i perform the slashes is great. So when i chose to perform the last slash, i could probably surprise my opponent by quickly crouching and delivering the final and powerful slash at the enemies feet, cutting them. One can also perform the slashes and channel some raiton-infused chakra into the sword and wind-chakra also, giving the sword more of a cutting power.

Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 25
Description: The user punches the opponent a few times and finishes them with two final slashes with their blade or sword.

Here is the second technique, its pretty much like the first one except your starting with a punch, usually a straight jab the you do a few slashes and end with two lethal slashes.

How is it performed?

*Creates a clone*

Seeing my clone standing Mid-range from me, i run towards him, with my sword on my left hip. As i'm about to make contact, i throw one kunai to his legs, serving as a distraction my clone, dodges the kunai by jumping, giving me the chance to punch him three times in the chest area. As i punch him one more time, sending my clone backwards and into the ground, I take out my sword from my left hip, and I raise my sword above my head and i drop it, slashing the clone's head and i quickly perform one more slash this time being a Horizontal slash from right to left, causing the clone to go poof.

Showcase of usage in a combo
Same as the last technique, considering both are similar.
