Appearing in a blind flash in front of Trunks, sword unsheathed and pointed to the shinobi's throat, Kisame proceeds to question him about his knowledge on Kenjutsu.

He who does not respect the sword is not fit to wield one. He who does not fear the sword is not fit to use one. What do you know of Kenjutsu, young shinobi?

Before he has time to react, his teacher appears before him with a blade to his throat. Trunk instinctively reaches for the long blade attached to his back, but that would not be wise. Kisame could end his life with a flick of the wrist, so upsetting him would be a very bad idea right now. Because of this, Trunks is sure to speak both clearly and plainly.

Simply put, Kenjutsu is the art of Japanese sword fighting that is the ancestor to the Kendo and Iaido styles that are popular today. It encompasses most styles and lineages seen across the region under one giant general umbrella. It contains numerous styles and stances that can be used interchangeably as the situation requires.

After this last word, Trunks gulps hard, both from fear and the realization that he forgot what he was going to say next. The cold edge of the sword seemed to almost numb Trunks as his throat grazes the blade. I-I-I.. Think that is everything, Sensei.

Kisame smiles as his student instinctively reaches for his sword but his smirk is short-lived as Trunks' confidence gives away to fear.

Did you know sharks can sense fear? Your explanation met my expectations so I will remove my sword from your neck but you need to work on your mental fortitude. That was a test to see what kind of person you are when faced against death.

Now we'll move onto the techniques.

(Ken Rendan no Jutsu) - Sword Barrage Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 25
Description: With this technique, the user will make a sequence of slashes with their sword and finishes with a powerful final slash dealing liberal damage to their enemy.

For your first technique, I want you to hit me with a sequence of slashes using your blade, before ending the frenzy with a final slash to my neck. Fear not, I'm going to keep my skin hardened throughout the usage of your technique, so I won't feel a thing. To give some realism, I'm going to feign pain and pretend that each of your hits have an effect on me.

Key Points: Despite the simplicity of my explanation, you must fill in the blanks so to say. Specify which hand you wield the blade with, the direction of the slashes (don't have to specify for random slashes and frenzies) and so on.

(Ikari Nomikomu no Jutsu) - Fury Swallow Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 25
Description: The user punches the opponent a few times and finishes them with two final slashes with their blade or sword.

In quick succession, you will then punch me a few times before finishing with two final slashes with your sword, aiming them to deal fatal damage. As with before, be specific in the way you punch e.g. is it a frontal punch or not? What location are the punches aimed towards and what effect do you seek to achieve with them? Where are the final two slashes aimed towards? Yeah, you get the idea.

My apologies, Sensei. I will work on my confidence. Trunks says as he removes his blade from its sheath with his right hand and spins it around a bit to re-accustom himself with its weight and balance. He then does some test swings to the left and right, with his right hand on the bottom of the handle and left above it. Trunks then readies himself and proceeds to carry out the technique Kisame described first. He starts by pushing off of the ground hard with his left foot, aiming to charge at his teacher. Once he is in range, Trunks begins to swing his blade at his teacher. First, he would deliver a slash with both arms, aiming to slash from Kisames upper right chest area, diagonally down to his lower left abdomen area. As quickly as he can, Trunks then flips his hands positions, so that his left is now on bottom and his right above it. While he does this, he bends his right elbow, and pulls his blade across Kisame's stomach line. Switching his hands back to normal positioning, he then sends a slash from his current location at Kisame's lower right abdomen to his upper left chest area. All three of these swings would happen very quickly, to the point that they would look like a flurry of swings to the untrained eye. Trunks then finishes his onslaught by drawing his blade back toward his body, catching the left side of Kisame's neck in the process.

Since Kisame would undoubtedly be moving to the right, because of Trunks' last slash of the previous technique, Trunks then comes in with a hard right jab to Kisame's right jaw line. He would do this to slightly daze his teacher, so he would be free to enact the rest of the plan. Trunks' power combined with Kisame's momentum would result in an awesome blow that would send Kisame's body weight back to the left. Quickly after this, Trunks would dart two steps to his left and send a flurry of right and left jabs at Kisame's left side in his rib cage and kidney area. He would do this in a hope that he would bend to the left to protect his side. Once Trunks sees his body weight begin to shift into a protective stance, Trunks would then dart one step back to the right and slash across his body aiming for Kisames neck on the right side. Trunks would then use his momentum to spin on his left foot all the way around, and deliver another slash to the same area once he is back in position.

When I say left or right, I am meaning my left and right. I'm trying to visualize what I am thinking and put it into words the best that I can, so sorry if this seems jumbled. Oh, and I know I'm not suppose to say what you are doing in the midst of all of this, but I couldn't think of how to word it like that and still have the technique go through the way I envisioned it.

Its fine and thank you for the clarification.
A worthy display but I hope that isn't the best you can do.

( Enjin Ranbu ) - Circular Wild Dance
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 25
Description: The user spins with his tantō, hitting the target several times.

Now, I'd like you to spin in the clockwise motion on the spot, striking me with his tanto with each successive revolution, making sure to target a new location with every spin. You will do this a total of five times. You have freedom of choice to choose the locations you strike, but the fifth and final strike must be aimed towards underneath my chin, sending me up into the air and setting up for your next technique usage.

(Rakkasui) - Falling Water
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 25
Description: The user will drop down upon the opponent from mid air pointing their sword downwards and drilling it down into the opponent.

While I'm airborne, you will jump up and pursue me, quickly overtaking my position before unsheathing your blade once more. Point your blade down towards me, before striking me with it and drilling me back towards the ground, spinning as you do this to mimic the exact motion of a "drill". Normally, your rotary motion would cause the opponent's body to spin also (since your sword would be lodged in their body) causing them to become disorientated even before they collide with the rock hard ground.

Trunks stands in front of his teacher and listens carefully to the instructions that he gives. He gives a nod of approval after he finishes and readies himself once more with his right hand on the bottom of the handle, and his left right above it. Trunks then takes one step toward Kisame, and uses that momentum to begin spinning on the heel of his right foot very rapidly in a counter-clockwise fashion. Trunks grips the blade tightly, and focuses on his target intently as to perfect his timing. With his first slash, Trunks aims for the inner right arm of Kisame, hopefully hitting right where his biceps meets his triceps. On his next rotation, Trunks aims for Kisame's left arm, once again trying to hit between the two muscles. Trunks would do this because if his blows were successful, Kisame would lose the ability to move his arms due to severed tendons. On his next rotation, Trunks would aim lower, attempting to hit the inner side of Kisame's right thigh, and with the next spin, the back to outer side of his left thigh. He would do this because if he were to hit these areas correctly, a normal opponent would bleed out in a matter of minutes due to having two major arteries cut. In his final rotation, Trunks sends an upward slash that would travel diagonally (due to the spin) from Kisames left armpit, across his chest, up his neck, and eventually up his chin where it would come into contact with his jaw bone. As bones do not give as much as flesh, this momentum would be enough to carry Kisame's body in the same direction as the blades path and send him flying into the air.

Watching carefully, Trunks sheathes his sword and jumps high into the air, above Kisame. Trunks positions his body so that he is directly above his teacher, and once he is so, he unsheathes his sword once more. Trunks then positions his body so that he would be falling downward toward Kisame head first, with his blade pointing straight down. Trunks then begins to spin violently in a counter-clockwise fashion, while releasing a bit of wind chakra through his feet to speed up his descent. Trunks crashes hard into his teacher, lodging his blade into his chest. With the spinning of Trunks' body, Kisame would too begin to spin, possibly making him disoriented and confused about his exact location. The pair would then crash hard into the earth, plunging the blade deeper into its target.

Even better, it seems Kenjutsu may be your calling. Just to clarify, I'm going to refer to myself as the "opponent" or "enemy". You will still be performing these jutsus on me.

(Bakuchi Tori Kuzu Oujou) – Gambling Bird Arrowroot Death
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user bolts in front of the enemy who they then strike with their sword handle before delivering several kicks that sends the enemy into the air. The user then bolts across to the far off location of the enemy who they then punch violently into an obstacle.

Alright, this Kenjutsu will not involve the use of your blade, substituting its usage with hits dealt with the handle. I want you to utilize your chakra to bolt in front of the enemy, before striking them with the hilt of your sword. After doing so, deal several upward kicks to your opponent, sending them high into the air but also horizontally backwards. Whilst they're airborne, dash directly forwards (to the location they're about to land) and intercept them as they fall, punching them violently into a nearby obstacle or part of the terrain e.g. a boulder or tree.

Key Points: None.

(Rensei Shinkuken) – Drilling Crimson Blade
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user takes out their blade and channels chakra into it. They then run towards the opponent, slashing them upwards into the air and then appear above him/her, and deliver a sharp, drilling slash down upon them, impelling them into the ground.

For this next technique, I want you to focus chakra into your blade before dashing towards the opponent and dealing an upward slash to their chest region, using the force behind the slash to send them into the air. After doing so, "appear" above and behind them, using your blade to deal a deadly drilling-type slash into their back, impaling and knocking them back towards the ground.
