Rojuro no longer kneeling down stands back up and proceeds to pull out the bakuto once again. I analyze the task and proceeds to stand in front of the training dummy giving himself enough lunging distance as well. I begin by gripping my hilt left hand above the right hand and proceed to lift my blade above my head, I then proceed to step forward slightly bending my lead leg while swinging my arms down across the dummy's shoulder. I remember to follow through with the slice and end the swing at my right side of my body down by my right foot. I then proceed to put my bakuto back by my side and turn around to face my master standing politely at attention .
hopefully this one as well was to your liking I shall acknowledge any critiques for I am the student and your knowledge is most needed at this time.

Yosh, good. And now onto lunges. Before I give my explanation, do you know what a lunge is? If so, try to describe it to the best of your ability and I'll go off of what you say.

1
Set up a dummy in a rather open space (outside is best).
2
Find a wooden sword.
3
Stand a two or three paces from the dummy, with your feet a shoulder-width apart and the sword in the "ready" position (blade pointed away from you, at about 60-75 degrees).
4
Bring the sword to about 0 degrees (approx) and twist your body so that the sword is roughly parallel to your torso.
5
When your ready, push the sword away from you, twisting your body for extra force. Make sure you lean in as you strike (extra force).
6
As you do lunge, twist the sword in your hands (takes practice). In a real battle, this will make sure the blade stabs properly.
7
Pull back on the sword, twisting back to its former position as you do so. If you're fighting someone in real life, you need to twist the blade as you remove it, otherwise you'll encounter suction which will make your attack messier than it needs to be. Don't forget to twist your body back as well.

Well I have found these steps online but would like to add that lunging in rl is more of an exercise method use for strengthening certain leg muscles such as a quadriceps. Now by adding in sword play and clean sword movements a person can perform lunging sword attacks by also using somewhat of a double lunge effect, ie your legs and also your arms.

This method has been shown lots in bleach by the likes of ikkaku and other spear user's Lisa yadomura. It is more often seen by spear users but has been adapted to sword fighting as well.

One could even go so far as to say it was used in the world wars with there rifles which had small bayonetes on them for stabbing an enemy if they could not reload fast enough, they were also seen lunging with these.
