Blood Coagulation

This is a passive skill you will both will gain. It's simple in creation, and yeah, and costs no chakra and takes a single turn. Should you host a wound, using your chakra on the damaged area you make the blood coagulate and effectively stop the bleeding. This is a primarily used as a preliminary treatment option, as it doesn't close the wound. The bleeding from superficial wounds can easily be stopped while we're at it, but deep wounds and "blood leakages" can require several minutes to stop, or can't be stopped at all; meaning simply you can't stop every bleeding, sometimes it takes surgery or so larger scale procedures. All in all, this is ideal for superficial wounds - doesn't requires much work, but stops the bleeding.

Some more Homework!

Explain how blood coagulation works in your own words and how it relates to narutoverse, chakra and a medical ninja's role.

Priest listens attentively to Sensei and once he's done he begins his own analysis of Blood Coagulation.

According to definition, Blood coagulation is the process by which blood changes from a liquid to a gel, forming a blood clot. It potentially results in hemostasis, the cessation of blood loss from a damaged vessel, followed by repair. The mechanism of coagulation involves activation, adhesion, and aggregation of platelets along with deposition and maturation of fibrin.

So with the above definition I can say the main component of the blood that is responsible for clotting is the thrombocytes which is also known as the blood platelet. The platelets responds automatically to any opening in the body tissue and using the blood as a medium(since they are contained in the blood themselves, they try to form the blood into a gelatinous paste so as to blood the pathway which the blood flows away. A fail safe so that the host organism does not loose all its blood.

On a normal day. If the blood is exposed, it thickens. This is because of the blood platelets. Without the use of chakra to speed up the process, coagulation of the blood may be slow with repect to the area which the blood flows out. With the usage of chakra, one can quicken the platelets' reaction to tissue damage or cut.

Blood clotting is particularly essential to stop a bleeding patient so that he can receive first aid. The clotting of blood is like a first aid on its own. In real life, I think a drug can be administered to speed up the clotting of blood should the area of blood escape be larger or the patients suffers from a deficiency of thrombocytes. Similar application of this in the ninja world is the use of chakra to speed up clotting process.

Corvo stood following Priest, clearing his throat before speaking:

The coagulation of blood revolves around proteins that control the act of bleeding; when someone is cut for example, the walls of the blood vessels contract in order to decrease the blood flow to the affected area. Then, small cells called platelets attach themselves on the injury and spread evenly in order to stop the bleeding. This is the point where other cells coagulate along with the platelets in order to form a clot. In our world, this same logic applies, naturally; a medical ninja will have to deal with blood often, and so it's important for us to understand the inner mechanisms of our body in relation to blood. Understanding how the process of coagulation occurs along with learning how to apply chakra as a means of accelerating the coagulation process will prove vital in saving our, or the life of our allies. He nods at the doctor to signal that he has finished his explanation, and sits down.
