Kei Nishikori (10) beats Novak Djokovic (1) in US Open semi-finals

Kei Nishikori (10) just beat Novak Djokovic (1) in the tennis US Open semi-finals 6-4 1-6 7-6 6-3.

Nishikori is now the first ever Japanese player to reach the finals of a grand slam. It will also be his first final in a grand slam. He will either play Federer or Cilic in the finals.

Did anyone see the match? I thought Nishikori played awesome - he's my favourite upcoming tennis player.

I'm expecting Federer to beat Cilic and then it will be Nishikori vs Federer in the finals, which should be a great final. If that's the case, not sure who i'll be supporting in the final ;P I live in Switzerland so i'm rooting for Federer but I really want Nishikori to win a grand slam too.

Haha well I think he has a higher chance of winning with Nishikori than with Djokovic.

The match was good and Nishikori was dominant today, unexpected for me as I was thinking Djokovic would win it.

I want Federer to win his 18th grand slam this time, but as of now Clic is winning 6-3, 2-0, I hope Federer makes a comeback.

Yeah I know, I seriously hope Federer wins this match. Well he did fight and win last match which he was so close to losing. So hopefully he can do it again (if it comes to it xD)

Federer lost to Cilic 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 in the last game Cilic hit 3 aces !

It wasn't Federer's day today and Cilic played his dream match his serve was awesome, completely unexpected Saturday.

Now I am looking for Cilic and Nishikori final, anyone of them would be the deserving winner.
(BTW Cilic and Nishikori have gone head to head twice this year in Brisbane and in Barcelona with Nishikori emerging the victor, but we never know what will happen in the final.

Also Kei Nishikori becomes the first male player from Japan to reach a Grand Slam final in the Open Era and Marin Cilic is the first Croat to reach a Slam final since Goran Ivanisevic in 2001.)
