I think it's in Japanese because that is Kishimoto's maiden language. If he only wanted japanese to read it, he wouldn't have agreed to having it published and aired in America as well as many other countries.

theres money in publishing in other languages. I'm sure his editor made that very clear that he would have to regardless.
