With the Mitsuki oneshot, we were introduced to synthetic humans.
Mitsuki is such a human. Created by Orochimaru.

Kawaki is a new character introduced to the Boruto manga.

Kawaki has both yellow and black hair.
That is kinda striking and odd.
It can look like a mix of Naruto and Sasuke their hair.

Why would you introduce synthetic humans and than stop right at Mitsuki (and his older bro Log).
I dont find it likely if Mitsuki is the last synthetic human in the series.
Kawaki could be a synthetic human as well.
It would help explain his strength.

We have been shown how a synthetic human can choose his own path.
Just as Mitsuki didnt follow Oro or Log's proposal.
Kawaki may have decided that he wants to get rid of the ninja world,
even though Naruto and Sasuke can be part of his being, through synthetic human being or other way (if not, Kawaki could just have a hair dye color on purpose, to put us on the wrong track).

This is the most Orochimaru thing I've ever heard tbh.

If you think about it, he's never really done anything over the top in terms of villainy.

What's more Orochimaru than a misguided attempt to blend the two greatest heroes of his time into a synthetic human that's plagued by the androids conundrum of seeking a purpose, destroying his creator, annihilating mankind... Oh
