It wouldnt make sense and it would be bad writing if this guy was strong enough to harm naruto unless he was a mix of sasuke and naruto im not even sure naruto is dead i doubt it tbh maybe in another dimension drained of his chakara or something but dead is really pushing it for this new artist why would you kill off the main character ? Filler move if yu ask me

Anyway i believe some evil mastermind was watching naruto and sasukes fight saw the mixed blood took a sample then created kawaki its an explanation to how hes strong enough to do anything to naruto and boruto is a mix of sasuke and naruto technically so it would make a great fight

Btw the entire new manga is filler the boruto movie ended the series for me im just going to check out the new manga to see what happens to the sauce

I think it's possible. It's heavily hinted that Kawaki is the counterpart of Boruto. Boruto is Yin (Blue Tattoos) and Kawaki is Yang (Red Tattoos).
