There's really nothing that suggests he's weaker than Susano'o. Just based on false impressions (meaning no definitive proof that he has done everything alone, or everything he has stated to have done to be true) he possibly destroyed an entire Village and has fought Adult Naruto to where he could say that he 'placed him somewhere'.

Saying that he could be taken down with that sort of Susano'o is a stretch. We don't know how strong is.
