Just a theory but based on:
The Swag "Confident in beating ninja"
The Words "Age of the ninja is over"
The Weapon "Staff"
Kawaki's abilities will be as followed:
Can't use ninjutsu BUT absorbs or neutralizes all chakra
Uses high level Ninja scroll technology or may not use ninjutsu at all
Extremely powerful taijutsu/ /bojutsu
1) Boruto's eye is closed meaning he is conserving chakra or is out of chakra while Kawaki is standing tall potentially meaning Kawaki may be draining him as they fight or Kawaki is that much stronger (I believe Kawaki is draining him though.
2) Boruto is much more bruised than Kawaki meaning they engaged in a lot of CQC combat and considering Kawaki has no cuts Kawaki must be way more advanced than Boruto at weapon fighting.
