Ow...HOT! I need less painful entrances... T_T Ok, Danzo, tell me everything you know about fire release, also known as katon.

Fire is a very powerful element and is probably the second most destructive of them all. It can burn anything or anyone it comes into contact with. Many people in the Naruto series have the fire element and it seems to be the most common element and is most regularly used by the Uchiha clan. It can be used in many different ways from long-range to short-range, from fireballs to fire dragons. The strongest Fire jutsu is Amaterasu.
It is weak against water, but strong against wind and this is because the wind increases the oxygen in the fire causing it to grow larger. It can be combined with earth to create lava and also combined with water to create Boil Release.

 

[Ushiro]

Good, you know your stuff. Onto the first jutsu which is a simple fireball. You will need to get a strong mental image of the essence of fire (a description of fire's characteristics) and concentrate on converting your chakra to the fire nature. Then focus the chakra into your lungs as you inhale and try to exhale a small fireball.

 

[Rayder]

I focus my chakra and feel the power of it as I focus it into my lungs as I inhale. I feel its potential and strength and as it runs through my lungs I feel how easily it can burn and its incredible heat. I then convert my chakra into Katon and exhale a small fireball.

The ones below are very similar. For the first i want you to release three fireballs with your exhale. For the second, exhale a fireball a bit bigger and more intense than the first one you did. There are plenty of wooden dummies set up all around for you to practice on. Light these dummies up.

Make sure your last fireball hits that dummy furthest away.

I again focus my chakra and I can feel the Katon chakra burning within me as I hold all its power and pure ferocity inside. I then exhale three fire balls, tilting my head at an angle so that the fireballs hit three different target dummies.

I then concentrate harder and focus on manipulating my Katon chakra and I increase its intensity. I then exhale it but this time also increase its size and fire it further away while using my Katon chakra so the fire retains its heat and power.

Perfect. ^^ I'll start teaching you sets of three jutsu. The first is something a little different: You need to throw shurikens at a target and quickly breathe a stream of fire onto them. It will cover the shurikens with fire so they can deal more damage by burning their target. There are plenty of wooden practice dummies all over the place. Try it out on one of them.

Description: The user will throw several shuriken at the enemy and then inflames them with fire to cause extra damage.

Next, I want you perform the Snake, Ram, Monkey, and Tiger handseals and gather fire chakra in your lungs. Then try to release a flammable gas from your lungs instead of fire. Blow it on a nearby dummy and ignite the gas somehow. A fire or lightning jutsu would work fine.

( Katon: Kasumi Enbu no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Mist Blaze Dance Technique

Description: After performing the necessary hand seals Snake → Ram → Monkey → Tiger, the user is able to create and blow a flammable gas from their lungs. Once it comes in contact with fire or sparks, the gas ignites into a large fireball.

Time for a c-rank. Simply blow a short stream of fire from your mouth after gathering chakra in your lungs. It can be done pretty quickly since it doesn't require handseals. The fire should be hot enough the burn up a dummy easily.

I get out several shuriken from my pouch and throw them at the target dummies while quickly breathing a small stream of fire all over them to encase them in flames. This would be pretty useful as the shuriken cut the dummy and then they are affected by the flames which would burn them.

I perform the Snake, Ram, Monkey, and Tiger hand seals and gather an amount of Katon chakra in my lungs and then release it but this time concentrate to inhale it in a different form; gas. I then blow the gas into the surroundings of a nearby dummy and then launch a small fire ball at it in quick succession.

I gather my Katon chakra into my lungs and quickly blow a small stream of fire as soon as the chakra is gathered, aiming directly at the training dummy a few meters away from me. This justu doesn't need hand seals which would be a definite advantage.

That's good enough. You're probably familiar with this next jutsu. The description has all you need to know so use that as a guide and perform it, burning up a dummy nearby.

( Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique

The fireball ignites externally.

Now you will need a lighter. If you don't have one i could sell you mine for an insanely low price of $4.99. xd You have to light it and toss it out in front of you before adding fire chakra to the flame, making it expand into a large wall of fire for defense. Protect yourself.

Description: The user first throws out a lighter that has an open flame.The user the turns the flame into a wall of fire used for protection or to burn small objects thrown towards him. This jutsu can be used with Hurricane Fist to create a combo jutsu.

Next, perform the Tiger handseal and create jets of fire that you can either send across the ground and surround a target with or launch at a target as a ring traveling through the air. I want you do perform both versions of it, surrounding your target with fire and then striking him with a fire ring. No need for fire-breathing with this one. The picture shows the first version.

Description: After performing the Tiger hand seal by utilizing their fire chakra, the user will create a stream of fire that can be manipulated into several forms (rings of fire that runs on the ground or a circle of fire flying through the air) before striking the target. It can also be used in combination with a suitable wind technique to release a massive inferno.

I perform the Snake → Ram → Monkey → Boar → Horse → Tiger hand seals and sharply inhale while infusing a large amount of Katon chakra into my lungs. I then make a ring with my tumb and index finger and bring it to my mouth and spew a large fire ball, easily burning up the dummy.

I light the lighter and toss it in front of me combining my Katon chakra with the flame and using it to strengthen the flames. As it hits the ground It expands into a large wall of fire, which is able to protect me.

I perform the Tiger hand seal and create a jet of fire which I slowly send across the ground to come towards the dummy and completely surrounding it leaving no spaces. I then use the Tiger hand seal again and fling a circle of fire through the air at the dummy.

Good job. Now take out some ninja wire and attach it to this dummy somehow. Then perform the Snake, Dragon, Rabbit, and Tiger handseals before breathing a stream of fire from your mouth that will run across the wire and incinerate the dummy. Video time! 1:17

( Katon: Ryūka no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique

Description: The user will perform four handseals Snake → Dragon → Rabbit → Tiger , and breathe fire along a cord or any other type of long object, which rushes forward in straight line catching the enemy on fire. A line of enemies can be used as the conductor as well. The flames are meant to target, and assault the enemy's upper body just like a projectile weapon.

Next, just form the tiger handseal and exhale a stream of fire on a dummy to burn it up. Nothing special.

Description: The user first performs six hand seals Rat → Tiger → Dog → Ox → Rabbit → Tiger and they create a volley of small fireballs, which are sent flying in an unpredictable manner assaulting the enemy. In addition, the flames are controlled one by one with chakra, so avoiding them all is extremely difficult. Shuriken can also be concealed within the flames, creating an unexpected secondary surprise attack. Like the flames, the shuriken can be controlled with chakra. For the most part, however, this technique is used as a distraction.

 

[Rayder]

I take out some ninja wire from my pouch and attach shurikens to the end of the wires. I then throw the shurikens while holding the wires in my hands and guide the shuriken so it spins around the dummy, wrapping the dummy up with wire in the process. I then put the piece of wire into my mouth and perform the Snake, Dragon, Rabbit, and Tiger hand seals and then breathe a stream of fire, which runs across the wire heading towards the dummy and incinerating it.

I make the tiger hand seal and gather Katon chakra into my lungs and then exhale a stream of fire at the dummy, burning it badly.

I perform the Rat → Tiger → Dog → Ox → Rabbit → Tiger hand seals and fire several small fire balls which I send towards the dummy. However with these fire balls I infuse my chakra with them allowing me to control them and I aim them at different parts of the dummy.

Alright, for the next jutsu i want you to exhale a wave of flames towards your target and control it to close in and wrap around it like a cocoon, burning it entirely. Try it on that dummy over there.

( Katon: Honoo no Saigai Hi Kagayaku no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Flame of Disaster Fire Shine Technique

I concentrate my Katon chakra into my lungs and forcefully exhale it as a wave towards the dummy. I then use chakra manipulation to control the flames and make them converge and completely wrap around the dummy in the shape similar to a cocoon.

I concentrate my chakra into my feet to allow me to jump higher and while I am in the air I send a quick burst of Katon chakra into my lungs and shoot several small fire balls at the dummy, from my mouth, while in the air so as if it is raining down on it.

I focus my Katon chakra more this time and concentrate on its form and use chakra manipulation so as its more compact and doesn't immediately burst into flames. I then send it towards the dummy and as it connects the dummy bursts into flames.

Good job. Moving on to the B-ranks. ^^ For the first one perform the Ram, Horse, Snake, Dragon, Rat, Ox, and Tiger handseals. Then take a deep breath and exhale an intense stream of flame resembling a dragon from your mouth that you manipulate to split into 3 streams with those on the sides curving inward when they reach your target to burn it from 3 different sides. Try it on this unsuspecting tree.

( Katon: Karyū Endan ) - Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet

Description: The user first performs seven handseals Ram → Horse → Snake → Dragon → Rat → Ox → Tiger and kneads chakra into flames, which are then manipulated into a genuine-looking dragon. The flames are divided to launch a left side, right side, and frontal assault in all three directions at once, turning the enemy into ash in a matter of seconds.

Next, create a sphere of concentrated fire in your hands with an unstable composition. When it hits something it should explode and damage it but not actually set the object on fire. Mess up this group of dummies by throwing multiple fire spheres from your hands at them.

Description: The user shoots multiple fire shots from their hands that are able to cause fiery explosions on impact with any object. The shots can't set the opponent on fire, though they can cause damage by exploding on him.

The next one is'nt very different from the Great Fireball technique. You will need exhale a flame even stronger than the original but with a shorter reach. Try burning through this boulder here.

I perform the Ram, Horse, Snake, Dragon, Rat, Ox, and Tiger hand seals and take a deep, sharp breath and infuse Katon chakra into my lungs. I then exhale an stream of flame resembling the shape dragon. I then manipulate it even further so it splits into 3 different streams curving inwards at the nearby tree. One hitting it straight on and one on the left and another on the right.

I form a sphere of Katon chakra in my hands, manipulating it so it remains in a clear shape. I make these flames different though by making sure they don't burn on contact and I then send them at different dummies, and they each explode when they hit.

I concentrate my Katon chakra in my lungs and use the normal pose I would use when using the Great Fireball technique. However this time I put more power into it so it becomes a lot stronger but in exchange its reach is a lot shorter. When used on the nearby boulder it burns right through it.

Ok, now i want you to perform the Horse and Tiger handseals before exhaling a huge sphere of fire from your mouth that can travel a long distance and will cause a huge explosion after hitting something. It would ignore small things like people and just carry them with it before blowing them to bits. Blow up a group of trees with it but first, another video! 1:25

This one is similar to the last except you have to jump in the air and exhale 3 huge fireballs down towards your target which would erupt into a geyser of flame once they hit the ground. Try it out on a group of dummies.

For this one you'll have to perform the Snake, Rat, Snake, and Tiger handseals while gathering fire chakra in your lungs. This time, instead of fire you need to exhale gunpowder from your mouth and surround your target with it. As the cloud of gunpowder hangs in the air and you are finished exhaling i want you to ignite it somehow and cause a violent explosion capable of inflicting 3rd degree burns. Asuma would use flint in his mouth to ignite it but i guess you'll need something else. Find another group of dummies.

( Katon: Haisekishō ) - Fire Release: Ash Pile Burning

Description: The user spews superheated ash from their mouth after performing four handseals. The ash is hot enough to cause third-degree burns on the victim. Because it's composed entirely of ash, it stays in the air around the victim like a cloud. If the user clicks his teeth, the stagnant ash will ignite, creating a violent explosion.

I perform the Horse and Tiger hand seals and then exhaling a huge sphere of fire from my mouth, pumping more chakra into so it can travel a longer distance. It flies just above one of the dummies and it is pulled along with the flames as the fireball hits a bunch of trees in the distance causing a huge explosion.

I concentrate chakra into my feet and it allows me to jump high into the air. While in the air I form my Katon chakra in my lungs and quickly exhale 3 large fireballs from above which rain down on a helpless group of dummies.

I perform the Snake, Rat, Snake, and Tiger hand seals and gather a large amount of fire chakra in my lungs. However, this time, I change the composition of the flames and exhale a large amount of gunpowder into the air, from my mouth which surrounds a group of dummies. The cloud of gunpowder stays in the air and to ignite it I concentrate my Katon chakra and exhale a small fireball which causes the gunpowder to explode violently burning the poor dummies.

 

[Ushiro]

Excellent. Now perform the Tiger handseal and exhale a few large fireballs in the shape of dragon heads. Because the fireballs have a very high temperature they can inflict major damage and if they are aimed at the sky they may be able to alter the weather and produce thunderclouds by causing air currents to rise. Try it on these four dummies i've set up in the treetops.

Next, throw several shuriken with one hand while breathing fire on them to increase the amount of damage they inflict by burning their target. You've done a jutsu similar to this one before but just weaker. Try it on a dummy.

Description: The user unleashes a volley of shuriken with one hand, while at the same time exhaling fire-infused chakra onto them in order to increase the weapons' destructive potential by making them capable of inflicting severe burns upon direct contact with either the intended victim or any other object caught within their trajectories. Due to the chakra-based nature of the flames that surround them, the shuriken will continue to burn after impact, regardless of the flammability of the object that they ultimately collide with.

Now perform the Tiger handseal and release fire chakra into the air around you. Then focus it in several different spots and create fireballs in the shape of demon heads floating in the air. After that direct them at a group of dummies and burn them up.
