No worries, I will try my best to explain everything about the system as detailed as possible, before we do anything though; Try to sum up in your own words everything you know about Katon. What do you think its properties are? Who has been shown to be able to use it, and what do you think its strength and weaknesses are? You may use any source you want of course.

Okay.
So for me, Katon is an elemental nature transformation (also known as Fire Release) which is performed by storing heated chakra inside the body and releasing it through the mouth in huge bursts. Katon or Fire Release has an elemental advantage over Futon (Wind Release) but an elemental disadvantage against Suiton (Water Release). It's generally the Uchiha's elemental affinity.
The characters that has been shown to use this element are:
-Sasuke Uchiha
-Itachi Uchiha
-Obito Uchiha
-Madara Uchiha
-Hiruzen Sarutobi
-Jiraiya

Well done, Katon is a more offensive element, accompanied by the capability to viscously burn your opponent, however it is not simply limited to mere balls and streams exhaled out of your mouth, and that's something you will see as we progress.
