Depending on the strength of the technique, one of them is going to be destroyed.

The Fire technique would roast the Raikiri user. The two techniques are elementally neutral to each other, but the Fireball technique is larger in scale. The Lightning technique won't just go through the technique, since the user won't survive getting hit in the face by a Katon technique like that.

This would destroy a fire jutsu

Though any significant difference in strength overpowers.

GnJ is very weak compared to Raikiri. Just look at the results of Sasuke trying to hit Gaara with that technique... It had zero effect against a small covering of sand as Sasuke predicted. Then look at how the less refined version of Raikiri interacted with Gaara's full on sand dome - it cut through it like a knife to butter.

Its important to note that chakra based elements are weaker than the real thing. Raikiri would cut straight through a simple GnJ.

I guess it depends of the rank and the jutsu
ex: When a katon jutsu and raiton jutsu fire from the mouth collided, the jutsu with the bigger rank may win

But also take into account how Raikiri is more focused, while Fireball is widespread. The area where the Raikiri is may pierce through, but the user itself would get scorched in the face because of the sheer AoE of Fireball.

Strength depends. Raikiri or Chidori stamps over regular Fireballs since Naruto used a small Rasengan to stop Sasuke's Fireball on the hospital rooftop. Rasengan = Chidori and thus ends with the same result.

It's a game of chakra here.

Last I checked, we were talking about a base Raikiri. If it was the one you referred to, it would be no contest.

You're comparing solid minerals to an energy-based element. Just because a Sand tech is able to defend against a Fireball technique, that doesn't mean the same will happen for Raikiri. That isn't how it works. The Raikiri is designed for a focused, pinpoint strike. The Fireball is designed to annihilate anything it hits, plus it has a greater AoE. The Raikiri may be able to get through the first 2 feet of the Fireball, but the Fire will roast any ninja that tries to win this clash.

regardless of strength, raikiri would lose to gokakyu via mechanics.

one is a tactical nin projection & the other is a weaponized nin-taijutsu.
