Take a good look at that picture. Her back was completely blown out. This girl wasn't trained for years by a senju and uzumaki descendant who happens to be the most powerful medical ninja alive. But then again sakura is a genius, no special background or inheritance but she still mastered one of NV's most complex jutsus.

OP I see where you are coming from with this one. Karin is totally underrated by the fans and poorly written in the first instance why Kishi. It would have been interesting to see more Uzamaki feat from her. But alas developing females is not Kishi's greatest strength

A red herring (ha... pun...) - like there's supposed to be some importance to her being an Uzumaki, we get some references and than nada. Nothing. It's just a coincidence that has zero baring on the plot.

Except for those bloody chakra chains - that come out near the end for a little showing at the end. Lovely, would have been AWESOME to have seen them sooner though! They might have been useful, especially when matching up fights (vs. Kisame - surely Sasuke would see that advantage because Suigetsu is wank on his lonesome against him).

Gah! She has the tools to be stunning kunoichi but she's just lame as f*ck. Insane and utterly useless.
