i dont think anyone noticed or can see Kashin untill they have thier marks activaed. The mark probally can allow the useer to re/enter the living world or others 2. And i think kashin is at least a few thousands of years old. Whos been watching over the fire country for years.

They need a vessel in order to come back to life or live with or rule over the humans( these are higher beings compared to living gods like the otsutsuki .The rinne rebirth cant work since so much time has passed and an edo body is like a dead person. And they are probably born from death or heaven or whatever.

Kinda like narutos so6p seal naruto whom was able to stop death. Sasuke we have yet to get knowledge about maybe because it wouldve prolly been op anyways.

if they were aliens or from another dimension besides purgatory the why would they go with the subtle approach for years , maybe cuz they aren't on the save lvl as Naruto or sasuke. like normal otsutkis or cuz they physically cant and need to help/ controlled beings who have experienced death like AO whois able to see the dead now. why save so much money on a planet as primitive as Narutos earth. they have to be related to Narutos earth and arnt aliens or new to it.
