Left eye warps objects far away. Right eye makes oneself intangible. Can warp yourself with either eye. Kakashi then Madara proved it with the left eye. Obito as well when he snooped in Konoha and other places.

Kakashi's distance kamui send parts into dimensions. With enough usage he was able to warp himself in and out of kamui.

Obito's kamui primarily phases into dimensions and he can warp in and out of dimensions whenever he pleases.
But in some cases Obito was able to use a mid range kamui without contact but he was left solidified.
Like when he warped Sakura out of dimensions without any hand contact.
